I have a bunch of custom ground P51s. Great pen and probably the most user friendly and reliable FP ever.
Some of my standouts are my stubs by Greg Minuskin, and my Pendletons, which write SOOO nice .....
You're into fountain pens too?! We need to talk!
I was actually just lamenting that I thought Parker 51s were a bit over hyped. It is quite user friendly though. Fits nicely in hand and to me, writes a lot like a ballpoint.
is the pendleton from sam at pendemonium?

You must have a "sucky" P51 then LOL!! But seriously, the P51 is a hard, non-flex nib and a standard pen shape which can be construed as boring. But some of my P51s and customized P51s are my all time favorite pens.
And I like both the Vacumatic and the Aerometric variants. I think I have about 100 of them LOL!!
I'm also a big fan of vintage Montblanc pens, but they start to get VERY expensive VERY quickly. Especially if you're after the early celluloids.
Some awful potato pics of one sleeve of P51s:
Some of these were "free" while others were quite expensive. Worse than collecting caps ..... I promise. Always a variant you can't find ....... anywhere.
And one of my newest pens. A custom Thompson Titanium Duofold with a Greg Minuskin ground stub. I have about 10 different Duofold Centennial nibs that were tuned by Minuskin, Binder or left Stock. Stock Duofolds write well, but aren't really too interesting. And my hand writing is terrible, so I could use some help. Give me a cursive Italic, a Stub, or a Music nib and I'm happy!!
I have two of these. An earlier Centennial and a newer one
These are a bit heavy for the thin dress shirt pocket, but they are super cool and great writers!!
