I only eat ripe bananas, by that time they no longer taste like grass.

Bananas contain a chemical in the honeybees' pheromone that causes them to get angry, so beekeepers never eat bananas before opening the hive.

about 25-35% spots coverage is best time, it's still slightly tangy, a little windex but not too much.

when ti's 50%+ it's usually much more windex.

Nope never noticed this, plus I don't use Windex - use SprayWay glass cleaners (safe for tinted glass and works better).  My banana's taste like banana's - normally when they turn brown they get turned into Banana nut bread in my house.

My father would not eat a banana until it was over 50% brown, and my ex-wife wouldn't eat one that didn't have at least some vestige of green on it.

In my opinion, a uniformly yellow banana is just right.

It's deceptive in the winter,  the brown / yellow/ green / spots  is not as good an indicator, there's some internal nana latency.

Tp4 opens from the middle and eat both ends at once like walrus teeth.

The top. I know it's supposedly easier from the bottom but without that leverage from the bit at the top I just can't seem to unpeel it. That said, I do cut into the stem a bit, typically.

Probably because bananas are sprayed with **** to keep them from ripening as they're being shipped off from all the corners of the third world, then they're sprayed with another chemical when they arrive in the states, or another third world country like England or any place in Europe in order for them to restart ripening. They're probably doing something with the process to keep them from spoiling in the winter on their long journey that's making them taste worse. Point is buy seasonal groceries. They don't have to be shipped across the world and cost less.
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen, Seventeen, Eighteen, Nineteen, Twenty... Yeah that seems about right.
