A New World Order

Drumpf nominates Matt Gaetz for Attorney General.

Drumpf nominates Mike Huckabee for Ambassador to Israel.

I could go on, but why?
“The reason they call it the American Dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it.” - George Carlin

"Politicians have been proving Carlin right for decades. The GOP and the second Trump Administration seem bent on doing what they’ve always done, sometimes even turning the American Dream into the American Nightmare. Taxes are a major contributor, especially the billions upon billions that the rich and corporations don’t pay. Trump and his fellow Republicans are committed to keeping it that way — and, if their slim Congressional majorities can stick together, to do even more for those who need it the least. As one small example, the overall corporate tax rate could drop to 20%; domestic manufacturers could do even better, ending up with an effective corporate rate of 15%. The federal tax code is famous (and infamous) for its huge handouts to those with the highest incomes, the most egregious being the cap on Social Security taxes."

We will finish israel's genocide for them, either way this election would've gone. Both candidates committed weapons and financial support.

You say bad things about Matt Gaetz because he "insert catholic sin".

THEY ALL DO THOSE THINGS.  Spend enough time around rich people, and you'll notice. They're ALL like that. Regardless of which of these 2 right wing parties you look at.

The only "new world order" is one in which USA's role is greatly diminished because how mis-aligned USA is becoming.

Today I saw an interesting piece by Oliver Willis: [ - "with my paraphrased notes for clarity" ]

Donald Trump has chosen Fox News host Pete Hegseth to be his nominee to serve as Secretary of Defense. If his nomination is successful, Hegseth will be in charge of the most powerful military in human history, and his decisions will have a ripple effect that will eventually touch the lives of every person on Earth.

Here are 17 wild things we know about Pete Hegseth.

1. Hegseth said he hasn’t washed his hands for 10 years - "I inoculate myself"
2. Hegseth said women should not serve in military combat roles - it hasn't made us more effective
3. Hegseth was removed from the National Guard detail securing Biden’s inauguration - along with 12 who had ties to right-wing militia groups or had made extremist posts online
4. Hegseth is anti-Muslim - he called Muslims moving to France a “slow-motion 9/11”
5. Hegseth claimed separation of church and state is not in the Constitution - 1st Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"
6. Hegseth said that Democrats were “rooting” for COVID-19 - "Democrats .... you start to feel like they're rooting for coronavirus to spread.”
7. Hegseth said COVID was nothing to worry about - “I feel like the more I learn about this, the less there is to worry about”
8. Hegseth defended mercenaries who killed Iraqi civilians - contractors for Blackwater who were convicted of killing over a dozen unarmed civilians in Iraq
9. Hegseth worked with lobbyists for colleges that ripped off military veterans - While activists were attempting to close a loophole in federal law that allowed for-profit colleges to exploit military veterans, Hegseth spoke out against possible government action.
10. Hegseth said diversity in the military is “garbage” - “The Pentagon likes to say our diversity is our strength. What a bunch of garbage.”
11. Hegseth called for a “preemptive” military strike against North Korea - "there is “merit” to a preemptive military strike against North Korea"
12. Hegseth praised the violent attack against Nancy Pelosi’s husband - “Paul Pelosi needs the hammer.”
13. Hegseth supported using the racist term “kung flu” - In an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s Fox show, “Well, say it with me, Tucker: Wuhan virus, Chinese virus, maybe even the kung flu."
14. Hegseth defended January 6 rioters - “These are people that understand first principles, they love freedom and they love free markets."
15. Hegseth pushed Donald Trump’s 2020 election conspiracies - "there is widespread and systemic fraud on the ground"
16. Hegseth blamed the Russian invasion of Ukraine on America - "He doesn't believe the West is a serious civilization."
17. Hegseth praised the UFC fighter who said women should stay in the kitchen - "After a UFC fighter wore a shirt that said “A Woman In Every Kitchen”

I don't understand what you guys mean by new world order.

It was ALWAYS like this. Only you didn't get to see it, because there wasn't TV /Internet /smartphones. Most of us were just hick farmers who believed democracy was a thing. In reality, democracy is purely theoretical.

Every major government organization is a revolving door of special interest lobbyists / corporate board.

NOTHING's Changed.

You're merely witnessing 2 factions of people farmers/oppressors.

FDA, for example, 2/3 with direct ties to industry. Retired head always gets a do nothing paid seat in a Big-Pharma.

Not against Fohat having teen angst,  Tp4 is merely pointing out that it's always been this way, and fohat is oddly angry.

Tp4 can only hope Fohat's obstinate demeanor isn't signs of oncoming dementia.

Tp4 enjoys and values Fohat's input.

Trump's cabinet is looking like an Onion article. Guess it makes sense for the dude with zero political experience to hire people with zero political experience.

It's gonna be a rough ride ladies and gents

Also an inordinate amount of people who have been accused of sexual assault against minors. You know who NEVER gets accused of SA underage girls? People who don't do that. All the cases are dropped after private payouts. Just waving a flag saying GUILTY

NOTHING's Changed.

I don't know. When I was born Churchill, Stalin, and Truman were still running the planet.

And we have been on a wild trajectory since then, too. And although we (we=citizens of neighborhood, city, state, country, planet, etc) have had a lot of opportunities to bend the arc of history in a more healthful way. And we have failed more than we have succeeded. Failed spectacularly.

I remember the mood of the developed world leading up to the moon landing. I fear that that could be humanity's high-water mark.

If you came from the proletariat class, it would be logical to have that wide eye naivety in youth. The police catches the robbers.

When the truth is, and has always been, the Police works for the Robbers who openly drink the blood of the poor.

You can argue some robbers maybe weren't that bad, Bernie Sanders,  but he's 1 in a million.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Why wait? I predict that he will be pushed to the side in one way or the other if he gets in their way.
They'll announce a day of national mourning and move on.

If they are not hesitant against using violence towards people they don't like, don't think that they won't use violence and other tricks towards people "of their own kind".

That is what I thought until after the election, but now I realize that with Repub/2025 plans being so truly, profoundly awful they will be extremely unpopular and will stick to whomever is at the desk when they are signed.

It will be better for Vance if as much anger and disappointment as possible gets attributed to Drumpf. Then he can finger-point, too, even while allowing most of it to stand in place.

“I have a foreboding of America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time–when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all of the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; with our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness.

And when the dumbing down of America is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30-second sound bites now down to 10 seconds or less, lowest-common-denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance.”

I have 2 "Bernie" T-shirts (along with my Elizabeth Warren shirt) but they are packed away in a box. I had already decided to get them out and wear them again.

Also, I have been a registered "Independent" since 1980.

"An alleged sex trafficker for Attorney General; an anti-vax conspiracy theorist for Health Secretary; a Russian stooge for National Intelligence; a Fox News personality for Defense.  Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees are utterly, laughably unqualified for their proposed posts.

And that is precisely the point.

By putting forward such absurdities as Matt Gaetz, Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr and Pete Hesgeth for top Cabinet positions, Trump is doing more than installing loyalist lackeys and boot-lickers who will, once installed, carry out his orders without question or compunction.  The main point here is to demonstrate definitively that there are no checks on his power, no matter how insane his demands – nor shall any be permitted.   He wants to have this “final battle” now, at the beginning of his term, while his momentum is at his peak and his rabid base is at its most fevered, to consolidate his unitary control over the three branches of government, which will subsequently be understood to be rubber stamps, providing the fig leaf of legitimacy to his supreme power.

Child molesters, criminals, foreign spies, and conspiracy theorists.
Great choices! Couldn't have done worse myself!

I read an interesting article on countries that had their governmental infrastructure destroyed from the inside by other countries manipulating their corrupt leaders. Ironically many of the countries mentioned were manipulated by the USA. Fascinating stuff.

Vladimir Putin put Drumpf in office, and there is little doubt that he has significant kompromat on him, as well as being a major source of his money.

Russia's goal has always been to see the US society collapse, but Drumpf may also overplay his hand and turn Putin against him. Also, while Iran might have cut Harris some slack, with Israel about to run amok, they may now be in the "demolish the US" mode, too.

While China has no particular love for us, I think that they do want to see us survive so that they can continue to milk us for as much money as possible.

China is having similar issues to the US, they are not even able to bury the dissent going on any longer. Social media has become very detrimental to the CCP. The people are angry, turning violent, hard drug usage is skyrocketing, protests going on constantly. China currently is on a very similar track the USA is on, and we will be hearing more and more about it in the coming few years. Those entrenched in the CCP are panicking, aware they have lost control due to the World becoming a smaller place.

I can only assume Russia has similar dissent happening, but they are better at controlling what gets seen by outsiders. I know that whenever I've spoken to Russians, they express their dismay in their country and cite it as the reason they left.

I can only assume Russia has similar dissent happening, but they are better at controlling what gets seen by outsiders.
Lol Western media controls 100% of what you see about Russia from the outside.

That may be true, but it does not disprove the fact that what IS happening in Russia is at least "as bad" if not "somewhat worse".

Every country on earth, does their own pot calling out the kettle black television. Hindu athoritarians blame the pakistani authoritarian and vice versa.

The only uniform message by all authoritarians, is it is in the people's best interest to DIE FOR THEM.

And iri,

What I find very weird about Russians, is that,  I can understand, that the "outward allegiance" to the STATE, is a Necessary MASK every "Citizen" must wear.

But the vast majority of Russians, once they leave, STILL wear the mask.

The Russian STATE (as any other State) is there to exploit, it's awful and brutal, even to the middle income there. It is merely an instrument of Class-Warfare to maintain the rule of the elites.   Of all people, Russians should understand this, but for some very odd reason,  when challenged,  Russians will withdraw back into their Oppression, and hail it as the greatest trait of their Identity.

It is a 100% certainty that whatever the US intelligence community is today, it will be orders of magnitude worse, in terms of disincentivizing corruption (and, in its role (as directed to all of us in the Constitution) "To Establish Justice") in coming months.

These organizations have never served the interest of the public. They ONLY EXIST to serve the interest of the american oligarchy.

That in itself is not a problem. These are all facts of life which are acceptable as long as there is food.

NOT taking climate change seriously, is the threat that THERE WILL BE NO MORE FOOD.

That ignorance is straight idiocy. Climate Change is something the Oligarchy has completely ignored/ actively protects, these stupid humans see a straight line off the cliff and they love it.

I know they have very weak windows and balcony railings in Russia, and everyone has terrible balance. People are constantly falling out of windows over there.

American balconies and ceilings are just as weak. Only our bad craftsmenship comes in the form of financial social safety nets, healthcare, education.

If you don't play for the american corpos, you're out, then it's either the coal mine, or homelessness.

Why do we have such a high rate of suicide of industrial workers, hard laborers ? (Russia is worse, but not much worse)

We don't outright throw someone out the window,  but our economic regime just as cold and uncaring.

MORE importantly, the American system is an even more effective form of indoctrination/brainwashing and control.

One step forward, one step back.

Matt Gaetz gives up his bid for AG. Holding my breath, Drumpf might possibly even find someboy even worse ....

In another part of the country, Texas has donated 1400 acres for the building of federal detention centers.

I nominate Jared Fogle. He's got a mind for business, a good speaker, relates to the common man, and will fit right in with the rest of Trump's cabinet picks!
