Microcenter has the 2600k for $199.99 which is a great deal. guess their clearing stock for the ivy bridge.

I wouldn't go Sandy at this point,,  quad channel memory is fvcking awesome.. the responsiveness is unreal...

Ib are running extremely hot with 4.5ghz @ 1.31v almost 90c on load. Bunch of topics on OCN about this

I suspect LGA2011 (?) will be another LGA1366 which was in turn another Socket 940.  An enthusiast part that won't get any traction in the mainstream.  Quad channel memory doesn't sound like a winner for OEMs who regularly do things like "mainboard with two memory sockets only"

I think he is talking about sandy bridge-e.
I was gonna wait for Ivy but it seems like it sucks in terms of overclocking so I think I'll go with lga 2011. I hope IB-E isn't a let down.

I picked of of these up as well. Also i dont know what you have been falling but as of now no news on Ivy Bridge-E there is actually a high likely hood theyll skip it.

They have very good prices on ivy bridge cpu's and some asus z77 motherboards ... even cpu/mobo package discounts.
