Discharged a little more than four hours ago from a liver biopsy (nothing serious, a confirmation for a study I'm taking part in). Immediately called Logisticare (medicaid transport service) and spend about two hours waiting for a driver who kept telling us "I'll be there in 30 minutes."
Finally got into my ride... at which point he spent another hour picking up other people and dropping them off. Okay, fine, it's not a taxi service, right? Well, despite knowing I'm having surgery, I have to open a heavy ass sliding door myself (he has a switch in the front seat that opens them automatically), and then he hits every curb, pit, pothole and speed bump along the way.
Then we get stuck on the highway, at which point he briefly went off the road.
I finally got home 30 minutes or so ago.
Did I mention every time he turned or corrected he did so with a sudden, sharp jerk? My insides feel like jello now.
