best brush for lubing switch

please recommend a best brush for lubing switch.

You are massively overthinking this if you think that the selection of brush matters.

I've used both a toothpick and the plastic tip of the syringe (which held the lube) to apply lube to switches, it really does not matter.

Yeah it really doesn't matter. I guess having one that's not too big to fit in the switch is good. I use Tamiya ones 'cos they look nice. I am a fool though.

Best brush for lubing: One that applies lube, so basically any brush.

The BEST brush to use is Sable Hair..  You want to be keen that you get REAL Sable,   most manufacturers pass off generic weasel hair as Sable..

The hair must have the proper Flexural Strength to apply the right thickness of lube rapidly with a single stroke. Increasing Lube application efficiency and Repeatably.


Too much lube, the key will stick, too little lube, it will require frequent reapplication

I buy makeup brushes from Target. ELF I think is the brand. I usually stick with two types: one narrow brush with a bent tip (great for lubing switch bottoms) and a narrow-ish flat brush with short bristles.

Works well for me, and I haven't had any complaints from the commissioned boards I've built.

I used even thicker brushes and it worked out well for me. Just had to do a bit more work making sure that end tip was fine enough to not get too much lube on the switches. Now I got a nice lubed HHKB cause of all that, so it was worth learning how to do it.
