Wasn't ready for this relationship
« on: Fri, 21 September 2018, 07:39:01 »
Signed up with a group of peeps @ wurk to get the cricket family plan discount.

Now they're inviting me to stuff I don't want to go to.. Tp4 doesn't want to go to NOTHIGN ever, for any reason..

But don't want to lose the cricket discount by alienating them..

Can't pretend to be sick 5 times in a row.. GDI

This is terrible.. sigh.. guess I'm switching to mint-sim.. even though hurd the coverage is prolly bad..

Isn't it cheaper for them too if you're in?  As long as you pay your share I don't see why you need to be sociable...  Do they know you don't have a sleeping disorder whereby when you're not at work you're asleep?  Might have helped mentioning it the first time they asked but you can always pull the embarrassed card if you target the right person to tell.

"this" ?
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

They probably already think/know you aren't outgoing, so don't be R00D and lie! It'd be risking more than a group discount!

Its nice of them to invite you anyway - what do they like to do?

Just tell them you cannot go because you are a chronic masturbator.

Actually Tp4 just wants the discount

Don't know what they like to do,  but whatever it is, it involves TP4 leaving Gigabit Fios Internet, so, it can't possibly be one of Tp4's preferred operational modes..

Here's the problem, I'm really only saving ~$60 a year...  Sooooo, if I spend even 2 outings with them, I would've already wasted that much in total resources, which is why I must refuse at all cost.. EVEN just to preserve the savings.

Damn you cricket family plan, ruining my life.

Hey, if that mode is most pleasurable to you, I don't blame you for pursuing that alone ;) but I didn't mean that you should go with them, just suggesting not to lie about why you aren't going. Maybe they don't care, I don't know.

Also, I think HPE sought to imply that you wouldn't receive any more invites if you attempted to spread the ergodox gospel  Might be worth a shot!  :))

Same here, then out of morbid curiosity I clicked anyway.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
