Not that I swim in lakes all the time, but its still kinda sad that you could get that and just end your life.
I used to swim a lot in lakes or sea when was a kid. Good times...

It's because of events such as that that I always boil the water I use for rinsing my nose. I know the risk is extremely minuscule where I live but it just makes me feel safer.

I'm on drugs after surgery. My first painkiller dulled my days, made me woozy one way, and gave me weird dreams. Then I got changed to oxycontin (the "opioid crisis" drug! yeah!) which dulls my mind in other ways.
I'm one of those people who does not like when my mind-state is altered. I even feel uncomfortable from drinking what some would call "moderate" amounts of alcohol.
So I'm trying to take only as much as I need to keep the pain from overwhelming me but not removing it completely.

Tp4 had a beer a few days back after a long time, felt woozy immediately.

I have this recurring nightmare of seeing nuclear flashes in the distance.

The nuclear threat is closer now than it has ever been in my life. (and I was born during the "Cold War")

Why would anyone choose a tech office job that pays less than a retail position? Jobs that require specific skills or education should automatically pay more than anything a retail position has to offer. It is like ****ing bizarro land out there in the hiring world, and they wonder why no one wants to work in offices any more.
When I get better pay, benefits, and hours without having to deal with corporate office bull**** who would ever choose an entry-level office job? And they just churn and burn your once you >12 month contract is up.

Oxycontin dried up my sensitive sinuses. Spent today in pain, barfing — from the pain in my nose and sinuses ... and barfing isn't exactly painless on my surgical wound.
No more oxycontin. I hope I'm healed enough that paracetamol will be enough.

How is this possible that Tp4 did not like a single song/ video.   This isn't culture anymore. This is distortion.

Ha Ha Ha

I entered the 1960s as a 2nd grader and exited them as a senior in high school. That was a time of epic transformation in the world of music.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

I used to work with a guy whose 16-year-old son got in a car wreck, that was not his fault, a few minutes after sundown. He did not have his lights on, but in Georgia that would not have been required until 20-30 minutes after sunset.

By the time the police got there and wrote a report, it was dark. Then the fact that his lights had not been was turned into a huge problem, fault, ticket, insurance refusal, bad bad.

I don't think the top 100 music videos is a good indicator for culture. It's just what's popular at a specific point. A lot of that stuff is just fad, trendy music. Maybe I'm just too young but I feel that this happens in every generation, where a lot of the popular stuff is fad stuff but that doesn't mean it's all bad. There is tons big stuff now that's really good (Kendrick Lamar's new album was really good, Paramore came out with a popular rock record that was cool, heard good things about the travis scott album even if he isn't the best person)

I think people forget about all trendy garbage in the period of music they grew up with and only remember the good stuff, as an example, the beach boys made pop garbage for a lot of their career, it's only until brian wilson made pet sounds to where they really were respected as a band, and with the beach boys, you only really hear about pet sounds and the smile sessions (I think that's what they're called) and not the trash they made.

I think this talk is a big cycle, I'll probably say the same thing about how 2010s - 2020s were the best period of music and mention all the great artists and albums from that time, and forget that trash like dance monkey came out. Hopefully not because there will always be great music made no matter the generation.

Funny that is how it is looked at today. I would say that the Beach Boys' better stuff was early, and generally went downhill after Pet Sounds.

CRT beginners lying about how good movies look on their CRTs.

Without calibration, they're all pretty bad, both for color temperature and gamma tracking.  Most will have either crush or lifted blacks that onboard controls can't even deal with.

With a 3Dlut CRTs are pretty amazing, but this is <0.00001% of CRT users.

Given the "state" of most CRTs still out there, this is debatable.

To me CRTs weren't the best quality wise but are better for compatibility and input delay for like old games and such. Might still want one for melee, but everyone plays melee online now, so my low input monitor is probably fine.

Input lag is only consistent below 80-90% gpu utilization. So it's like spending $500 and getting only $450 worth of the-Good fps.

They need a BMI Scale remaster, because it is totally unusable and pointless for modern lifestyles.

The blue is underweight. you go 1 up in the green, 150 to 180 is normal,  the range is to account for a distribution of lankiness at the lower end.

Hangon, are they paying advertising girls to attend esports tournaments now,  they do at least 10 passes with the audience cam at the same group all sitting together.

That just makes it more sad, like, oh hey we're totally not just a dude-fest, look we have pretty girls, they are totally-REAL fans, and they support esports players, meanwhile they don't dress or look like any of the other fans.

Women don't care about football either, why do this to demean esport's natural fan base.

I know plenty of women who play competitively
The only genre that has not been totally penetrated by women (that's what she said) is fighting games. There are a couple high profile transfemme players, but not many women. League Of Legends has a ton of female players.

The definition of BMI does not account for different people having different body types. Also, the calculation of bmi = weight / height², but nobody is shaped like a square.
I'm 6'1" tall. I'm 180 lbs now and that is low for my bone structure. When I was 150 lbs in February, I was severely underweight for being me: I needed extra soft cushions to be able to sit without pain because my body lacked natural padding.

This is just absolutely ridiculous. In DBZ - Cooler's Revenge,  Goku blasts Cooler into the sun. The result of which set off visibly a major CME event.

That would've knocked out all the electronics and orbital satellites on earth, putting humanity back into the stone age, and very likely ending mankind.

I don't think the show about aliens fighting each other is very realistic, just be like me as a kid and just enjoy the cool fights (I remember as a kid going to the local library and reading the dragonball z manga, and going to see one of the dragonball movies, good times :))

I mean, Piccolo destroyed the moon... twice. I don't think scientific continuity was top priority when writing DBZ.

Perhaps, there is a small miniscule possibility that Tp4 takes CMEs a little too seriously.

They need a BMI Scale remaster, because it is totally unusable and pointless for modern lifestyles.
It is telling me as a 6'1 man I should weigh around 140lbs??
That is like skeleton status, wtf
That's the very bottom of the healthy weight range for the males of that height (63.3kg - 85.6kg).

My height is exactly 185cm and I weighed 65kg until I quit smoking. It was perfectly fine.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

In this case, my 177cm and healthy weight range of 57.3kg - 77.4kg is totally doable?

Don't worry, you'll get there eventually.

My concern is that I ordered myself a throttle body delete kit for my Dodge Ram 6.7L, paid $2500 for it, and am not completely sure I need it.
You don't need a Dodge Ram 6.7L in the first place.

Last week I had a snake, but that's good because I'm pretty sure he ate the mouse.
Not kidding.

Snakes can be chill like that. I don't see snakes too often because I am not in the more rural areas of my state, but when I do see them I just ignore it, it's probably got more important things to do, unless it gets provoked by an idiot of course.

I would rather have a snake in the house than a mouse. They are clean, quiet, and they don't eat or contaminate my food.
But after eating the mouse (or mice) there is nothing in here that he would want ....
