Just one story regarding Theia, and Gaia; and I would be a happy camper. :))

I wonder how today's science would sound written down by a layman then translated between languages hundreds of years later - can't imagine it would be totally accurate :))

On the other side evolution works great once there are semi-useful creatures but I struggle with the idea that the best version of electrified slime managed to survive to start the process, let alone that there was just a load of stuff floating in space to get crushed together to cause the big bang.  But if someone (god) made the stuff floating in space who made god...

The way I think of it is that, before the big bang (or whatever caused the current state of the universe), there was infinite time, so, even if there was only a 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000 chance of the universe's coming into being and life's beginning, it would actually be a 1 in 1 chance because, with infinite time, every possibility would eventually happen. I'm not sure if that would actually hold up if someone smart dissected it, but that's been my theory for a while, and it refutes the religious argument that life without purposeful creation is extremely unlikely based on the odds.
Nah we're all in a computer simulation.

Got home from work and get a call. A family member is asking for money. This is someone who was making some good bank about a year ago at a full time job. I am pissed and say things I maybe shouldn't have. Reason I am pissed is I just found out this person got involved with a woman who helped get him get back into drugs again. He is getting her into rehab I guess. I get on my bike to go the store to send some money but not a lot. While on my bike I nearly get hit by some ******* even though I had the ride of way. Soon after I am nearly bit by an aggressive dog. Fortunately it was on a leash and the owner prevented the assault. Yesterday was like the perfect day but now it is overcast and gloomy. After these events I resolved to stop no where else, just straight home. Now I am left alone with my worries and bothers. I worry about the future of several immediate family members who I know will not be able to take care of themselves financially, especially down the road as they age. Today's events were simply an omen of things to come and I know I will have some part to play.

I got tossed around like a hot potato last night because they could not tell me how to determine how much promo credit I had left in a promo from buying a tablet. Basically told me buy something and see if it charges your card.

After like 5 years since I finished a degree, decided to do another.

Surely this time will be different, a little older responsible as ****...

Nope just started, researched and completed my second assignment with about 12 hours to till deadline.

Then proceeded to complete an online test 3 hours before due date.

I feel like the next three years may turn into groundhog day.

It's been almost ten years since I've gotten my undergrad degree, and now I'm halfway through law school.

Didn't prepare as well as I thought I did for that last final; pretty sure I bombed it. I've submitted several assignments late too.

I know I'd be the same if I were in the position to study more - nothing done until deadline because it's all theoretical and any real-world usefulness will only be realised in the distant future, a time I struggle to accept will ever happen.  Good luck guys!

I still haven't graduated. I only need a couple of classes to get my degree but I am terrible at focusing on school. Funny, because I am in the software field without my CS degree and doing just fine.  :-X

I flunked out the first time, with a 100 average in my 4 CS related classes... You aren't alone my friend. I had a tough time in classes that weren't logic centric. I have a severe issue with extreme mental pain doing anything that is a lot of work but no challenge. My savior was technical school.

26 out of 100? I am unsure of how grades are given where you live. The first 4 CS classes were too easy, I already knew how to code, so I only had perfect scores. That changed as I progressed when I returned to finish my degree.

Typically, animal carcasses represent the greatest exposure to pesticides and pollutants.

Significantly greater than if we ate plants directly..

Cows eat ALOT of Monsanto grain and corn.. The chemicals concentrate in their carcasses, and then the people eat the carcass.. and get cancer..

My new PC build is encountering problem after problem.

First my low profile CPU cooler didn't fit because there are resisters on the motherboard that prevented it from sitting flush. RMA'd that and my non-K series i7 because I jumped the gun a bit. Then after I finished building everything yesterday, plugged it all in, my PSU blew as soon as I flicked it's switch. My draw is calculated at around 370W and it was a 500W Silverstone PSU, so I'm a bit pissed. That has been RMA'd as well and now I'm having to wait until Tuesday to get a new one due to the bank holiday... Sigh...
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Thank you, I hope so too. My GPU has been dying when I play Overwatch, so I tried something a bit less stressful, and in Civ VI it crashed as well, so I thought, **** it, I'll just get a whole new PC.

I think I'll just plug it into the mains before I even fix it into position in the case so I know it's working and that way I don't have to run the cables then pull them out again like I had to last time...

You can short the black and green with a paper clip and the fan should spin up, just to be sure that it fundamentally OK.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

You can short the black and green with a paper clip and the fan should spin up, just to be sure that it fundamentally OK.

I don't really like shorting things because I'm never 100% sure, but if I need to that's good to know.

Well, atleast PSU prices aren't jacked up to mining high heaven. So there's that I guess.

This is true. The GPU wasn't toooo expensive at £440 for a 1070 8GB, so i'm fairly happy with that.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Meh. I think I'd rather have it for an extra month or so than save <$100

Well,  considering you'll probably use it for ~2-3 years..  you'd be missing out on alot of frames.. hahahaha

It's like passive poison damage on staffs.. it adds up to a significant quantity overtime..

Poison DOT is nice.. until you're facing a massive mana sapping tree (?) that transforms your mighty staff into a seriously underpowered and frail club. dang

I'm so tilted the a87u I put into my kmac that I'm gonna sell (which didn't have diodes so I had to order and solder on without a hot air station) has the USB port too recessed so it doesn't ****ing work when I put it in the case.
I love Elzy
