It's good to stay optimistic.

But essentially , there won't be much traveling UNLESS we have a working vaccine. <this will be years potentially>

Otherwise,  even handshakes must be banned indefinitely.

True, I just refunded my October trip the other day.

Its still nice to think about plans for when life gets back to "normal"

lol nothing has or will change for me. I'll still be broke with no car, no friends, and nowhere to go.

From Belgium to Spain, so I can reunite with my wife+ 5 y/o daughter which I haven't seen in 6 weeks. Apparently at least one more month of lockdown before I can move. And that's if none of us RIPs from Covid-19 'till then. Meh.

I only go on holiday every couple of years anyway. Because I'm self employed I don't have any idea how much work I'll have in a months time and I don't want to leave to come back to find it all backed up. So I just take afternoons off here and there when I get the chance. Head to the city etc. I'm happy enough at home if I've got time to relax.

Russia.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
