Why do people ironically misspell animal names?
« on: Sun, 20 August 2017, 16:48:57 »
Really all it does it make the individual look stupid. It's not cute or funny, and only serves to make others think you're an idiot.

Boy oh boy that typical millennial "I'll respond by doing the thing this person is complaining about" shtick never gets old. What a fresh and creative response.

This thread is about animal names, you need to make another thread for that.

I think the issue is that you answered your own question in the first post.  Ask redundant questions, get redundant answers.

Boy oh boy that typical millennial "I'll respond by doing the thing this person is complaining about" shtick never gets old. What a fresh and creative response.

It's funny because I find this kinda stuff annoying too, but I'd put you closer to their camp than mine. Let's break down why since that's what you want, and can't seem to process their simple answers.

#1 Why is this funny?

It's funny because. That's about it. Someone did it accidentally or seriously, and someone found it funny, and they passed it along, and so on so forth. Things don't need to be funny for a reason they can just be. You either get it and go along or don't. It's simple, it's not rocket science, sometimes things elicit laughter and we don't exactly know why but it doesn't make it less funny. If you want to go deeper into it, sure. It's funny because acting simple when everyone knows you aren't is funny, it's a juxtaposition of what we know and the in-congruence of how we are acting. Almost like the animal is so cute it makes you stupider. Do I think it's funny? Meh, sometimes it can be funny but I mostly just like the cute animal photos. And it's a fun way to diffuse vulgarity while also exploring language. The idea that someone can say "That's a heckin' good snek" and still be understood is kinda interesting. I know exactly what they mean, removes vulgarity with "heckin'" which throws you off guard and can be funny.

#2 Why are you annoying?
Because you're either an idiot or ignorant. Both of which are annoying. You either are so removed from reality that you can't understand the concept of people enjoying the lowest common denominator of humor attached to cute animal photos, which makes you beyond stupid. Or you understand it, but are so insecure or needy you had to make a stint about it because you don't like that a lot of people enjoy something and you don't. You needed validation, someone to talk to you, someone to agree or disagree with you on a subject you already had the answer for. Either way you are an annoying type of person because either you can't think or show that you're more interested in a dopamine release in your brain than opting to not pretend to be a moron with the social queues of a rock.

#3 Why are people replying with stupid comments? Hur dur millennial?
See Question #2. Everyone can see you're either an idiot or annoying. If you're an idiot, an explanation won't help, so they mock you. If you're annoying, you have an answer but just wanted attention, so everyone mocked you. There is also HIDDEN OPTION C which is you're just an *******. You're upset with **** in your life so you take it out on a board of random people, then when you get your answer, you mock them because you assume they are millennial just because they don't agree with you. What a sad way to realize you're wrong, using ad hominem to try and belittle people who you think are stupid. (yet they are smart enough to understand a simple social wave & you aren't, even though maybe they understand how silly and trivial the joke is and JUST ENJOY IT.)

#4 what should I do now? What's my plan of action?
Maybe go have a tea and don't post for a few days until you have had a breath and can interact with other humans knowing everyone you ever meet will enjoy things you might think are stupid, but they are in fact not stupid at all. Just things they enjoy and you don't.

It's cute and fun and generally doesn't hurt anyone's sensibilities.  Reminds me of when my kids used to say certain words wrong and it was endearing.  Plus how can you not laugh at this ****:

hey noisyturtle,

u r pupper
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Just further attributing to the intellectual decline of modern society and perpetuating the general view that young people are lazy and stupid.

Today I saw the word fish spelled as 'fesh' - that doesn't even save any letters or syllables, just makes you seem like a "Oh epic lel I am so the random xD haha epic bacon doge so funni haha I am quirky notice me because I can't differentiate myself with any qualities of value"

Hrrrrrmm..

Frish or Frysh for fried fish hahahaha.. that seems like an appropriate contraction.

or Fufrish for , fresh fried fish .  can't use frefish,  because that'd be free-fish,  and seldom would there be free fish.
