why are you typing a specific sentence.. what testing purpose are you proposing

When you are just blind testing a keyboard, doesn't even have to be connected. Say meetups. keyboards found in the wild, etc.

If the keyboard is plugged in I like to give it a run on 10fastfingers.

If it's not plugged in I always type "Hello, my name is XXXXXXXXXXX." Or I type my email address.

Which translates to something like: Hi my name is Hans, what is your name if i may ask?"

I have thought about asking the same question, because I developed a habit of typing something random for no particular reason. Mine is:

"What do you get when you guzzle down sweets, eating as much as an elephant eats."  Sometimes I'll throw in a "I don't like the look of it".

Too much charlie and the chocolate factory when I was growing up I suppose.

Heh, I always use this when making Android layouts to test for text overflow.

For a typing test I go with "jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz".

I usually type the password I used to use for everything.

Then I either type "this keyboard feels really nice" or "this keyboard feel like ****" depending on how it feels.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I somehow got in the habit of typing some super basic Java code:

"import java.util.Scanner();
 Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in);
 input.close();"

Not really sure why at this point but I like to use it still for consistency. As strange as it sounds, I know how typing that should feel, so I notice the keyboard experience more as I'm not focusing on what I'm typing.

Interesting, I kinda do the same thing "jag heter GenKaan och jag är bäst och äger allt och alla haha(x3)" repeatedly (My name is GenKaan and I own everything and everyone haha(x3))

Hm, i do occasionally recite Bukowski when I type haha. But thats as far as my poetry typing goes.

i just start typing out the filthiest things i can think of at the moment. essentially giving my inner "imp of perverse" a silent voice that only me and the keyboard would understand.

I usually just type "Jennifer Butcher is the cooliest person in the world."  Dunno why but my mom is pretty chill I guess.  Though when we get those old IBM WheelWriters through surplus I type "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog // THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG" and then all the numbers and symbols I can reasonably type out.  But that's testing to make sure everything works well.  If I'm just doing it for myself, I always go for the first one.

If there's something you'd get banned without any warning for doing, you'd already know to not do that thing.  ;)  (AKA, I can't even think of examples, but basically you'll always get a PM first anyway - don't worry :) )
