Eatn' dat pistachio, googled it, lots of references to how you have to lick the she|| and enjoy the saltiness before eating the rest of the kernel.

Thoughts?

Isn't it too much salt already ?

If they're salted properly, you don't need to lick the shells. Personally I tend of think they're excellent as they come, and I'm a high-salt person.

I suck on 'em, then crack the shell with my teeth and spit like I'm eating sunflowers

I always break them open with my fingers and then toss the nut into my mouth. The shells go into the compost.

Been doing the licks, tongue's gotten all numb because the tip is the only spot thin enough to fit into the shell, so it's always salt on that one spot.
