considering the amount of input i am seeing from those mostly north east...........vs south east maybe doing Keycon 2015 more so north east so those who are north have a better shot at making it? nothing wrong with doing the following year in the south...........

i realize i am only speaking for my self, but just putting what looks like the obvious out there

any comments?

I'm sure we'd have enough people for a DC metro meetup

What it looked like in these posts is that there's talk of a DC meetup as well as organizing this East cost meetup. Anyways, it's not important .

I don't think I'll be able to go if it's in NYC. I can drive there but where the heck am I going to park? It's a nightmare.

After that issue, finding a venue is going to be both difficult and expensive.

Agreed. If we're going to do an NYC meetup, it definitely can't be in Manhattan. Maybe at someone's house in the other boroughs or perhaps a venue in Queens/Bronx might work better. But I don't think NYC is ideal for a meetup for those who are driving.

I think that is the best idea at this point. We should work on nailing down a venue in NYC/Philly/Boston and go from there.

I just hope that the venue is easy to get to by car, as that is likely how I would be travelling.  And as far west as you can manage.

There were actually only 39 members that voted a total of 53 times.  But remember that not everyone saw the thread or cared to vote.  I will likely be attending, but didn't vote as my vote doesn't mean much.

Since Chicago is closer to me, that will definitely have priority [and I have already made several promises to people that I will be there].

My attendance at Keycon East depends how much time there is between the mid-west and east meetup.

IF

I have enough paychecks after Chicago

AND

there are no new keyboard customs created that suck my money

THEN

I can definitely think about a trip to the northeast.
So Chicago for sure. But TBA about NE.
