Just got a pixel fone, man guys, these things are kinda invasive. It's digging into your mind and trying to connect you to the matrix.

Was having trouble with the unlock button, and after a bit, it sends you an alert, having trouble with the fingerprint scanner, try adding your face for face unlock.

This thing is measuring and monitoring everything.

I didn't have to put my fingerprint or face id on my pixel, Just a passcode. I generally don't put those things on them, but that's superstition on my part, since both fingerprint and face id are both stored locally on the device from what I know, so they can't access that data remotely.

Anker 733 battery bank, so if you have too much load on this thing, it stops charging itself because of overheating, as the ac-dc is bolted right next to the battery. Normally that heat would be in a separate adapter.

So, it's supposed to save you a cable, but in reality, it's not dual use. It can't perform all of its functions all-at-once, so WHY have this device at all? If you just get a regular gan-adapter and a separate battery bank, they can both run at full cap.

Why didn't they just add a heatsink/ fan to this.

You're bothered by that detail? I am bothered by almost everything there is about OpenAI.

ScarJo had been approached by OpenAI to do the voice for them. She had declined. Two days before the event, they asked again: indicating that they had the model ready.
Friends of ScarJo who know here voice better than anyone else said Sky sounded distinctly like her.
OpenAI did it. There is no question about it.

It's CEO has allegedly sexually abused his younger sister, force-fed her Zoloft and withheld her money for medical treatment.
There are numerous other signs and accounts of him being a narcissistic psychopath. Another controversy he is involved in is the cryptocurrency WorldCoin.

The AI that they want to build would require so vast resources that it would practically require its own power plants, which is utterly irresponsible in this time of climate change.

Massive copyright infringement and plagiarism. Training on the open Internet, requiring people top "opt out", despite regulations in many countries requiring companies to instead "opt in". Except when they don't care, and knowingly use content from pirate sites to train on, including illegal copies of e-books. (the "Books2" dataset)

OpenAI has been infiltrating bodies for "AI safety". They are trying to push things through before people in charge of legislation has got wind about what it is really about. Intentionally muddle the concepts of copyrights and plagiarism: (The way OpenAI works is not "fair use". Also, "fair use" applies only to copyright, not to plagiarism, and is not even a concept in many countries)

The team responsble for AI safety ("alignment") at OpenAI resigned a few days ago in protest against the board not giving them the ability to do their job.

BTW. I will be joining the PauseAI protest at Hötorget in Stockholm today at 17:00.

Did not know about the ceo wtf (except he is a ceo of a large company, I would never be surprised if they turn out to be a psychopath lol)

The copyright infringement is so obviously not fair use that it's made me realise that chatgpt and midjourney and these other platforms probably won't exist in the near future because of how many lawsuits have and will be coming their way.

All high lvl bosses are psychopaths, or become one over time.

Mid bosses are a bit better, but they've got the bug for sure.

I don't think personality failures play much of a role in how we should evaluate our next steps in AI. Human beings can not rule- itself, we're at death's door with regards to the climate implosion.  AI, might have a shot at preserving our legacy.

Anyway, electricity isn't the biggest concern right now, if we don't deal with animal agriculture, there is no technology viable in the next 50 years to meaningfully remove CO2 / Methane.

Even if all industrial output stopped, which would put us back into the stone age, we would still hit 2.0-2.5C, that much is baked in.

Too rapid in fossil fuel reduction has also produced intensive short term warming swings (heatwaves), as it reduces the aerosol soot layer which is masking approximately 0.2C worth of existing warming.
