Less thermal paste runs "cooler" AND is "cheaper"

Why do the manufacturers put on so much at the factory ?

Hrrm...

Do you think this may be part of their planned-obsolescence initiative?

The extra paste won't kill it right away but running much warmer over-time will the cpu and the other surrounding components faster.
