Earthquake!
« on: Sun, 24 August 2014, 05:32:40 »
I just felt my first earthquake! Scary stuff even though it didn't knock stuff over. It woke me out of a dead sleep though. I was about to blame my pregnant wife to stop moving around on the bed! LOL!  ^-^

It was a 6.1. Terrifying, especially since it might have gotten even worse.

To far over here in SoCal to feel it. Then again...i never notice earthquakes that are over here  :p

Glad to hear nothing serious went on and that it just woke you.

That comment would have landed you in the dog house  :))

I thought I was going crazy when I felt the tremor. Good to know other people felt it.

Yup; comments remotely about a woman's weight are a killer... for you.

Ehh, people don't start dying until you get closer to the 7.0 quakes.  6.0-6.1 is a minor tremble.

Only when it comes to earthquakes.  I sleep through those ****ers.  Oh, and crazy people since I deal with those daily.

The rest of the time I'm pretty damn soft.

In a way.  I work for the Public Guardian, so I'm the conservator for a bunch of people deemed unable to provide for their own food, clothing, or shelter due to a grave disability (mental illness).

Well, that's a morbid way of looking at it.

6 is pretty strong IMO. It's enough to wake up my whole house. We live pretty far from Napa too.

I guess that depends on perspective.  I see it as only causing property damage and minor injuries at 6.0.  To me, that's minor.  An earthquake isn't really scary or sad to me unless someone dies.  Until then it's just a fact of life in CA.  To me it's an empowering perspective since you're not living in fear about the common small earthquakes in CA.

On a scale of Tupac to Drake, how much did he deserve it?  On that scale Tupac is disn't deserve it at all and Drake is why hasn't someone killed that wanker already.

Well it's Suge, so it's probably karma from all the **** he's done before.

So, I'd say it's been Drake, Brown and Beiber on the "deserved it" scale.
