Meetup / where can I try an ergodox? (UK)
« on: Mon, 19 September 2016, 18:24:24 »
Hi

I find the idea of a keyboard I can keep using for many years because of the open design appealing -- but I'm not sure about the layout and don't know anybody who owns one.

Do any of you meet up to compare notes ever?

Or is there some other way I can try one out before dropping a significant amount of money on something that my hands might not like at all?  It's the thumb thing that I'm a little doubtful about, not the column layout.

Did you get to try one? I've got an original Ergodox in York but do occasionally visit That London

There is going to be a /r/mk meet up in London next Sunday.  I am bringing my ErgoDox if you would like to try it!

tilt a normal keyboard at 45 degrees..

lift the right side up until it makes 45 degrees on the left corner.

That's the basic feel of an ergodox..
