Providers are unimaginably lazy and inconsistent with what they actually provide.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Right? We get them basically thrown in our faces here when we chose an ISP.

There is no excuse for bad wifi in 2022. :P

I live in a mid-rise with cheap Internet and the WiFi is bad mostly because of network congestion.
There are too many routers and Bluetooth devices in the building.

Ah I love my ubiquiti stuff.
Every night it runs a test to see what routers are near me. Then it choses a less congested channel, it's great.

with routers, asus has the best support as they've been the most popular community side of things.

NOT all models, only the popular models.  for example, N66u, AC86u = RT-AC2900, AX86s, AX86u, AX88.

the middle model is the best because that's what most people buy, the lowest and highest model both receive worse support, and often have worse stability because of fewer bug reports/refinement.

There is no excuse for bad anything in 2022.

With competent and coherent leadership, the human race could (have) solve(d) most of the problems facing it now.

No excuse for bad cell reception at this point in time (they've had 30+yrs to get it set)

Digital pianos are also junk, way overpriced, and severely low tech.

Service provider rentals... I've seen 15 year old equipment in locations.

I had to push one customer 4 years ago to call the company and demand an updated DSL modem because theirs didn't support the speed they were paying for, let alone wifi. Get out past the suburbs and you find homes still using dial up.

You'd also be surprised how bad cell coverage is in many places.

bad cell coverage

It is beyond egregious that Congress has refused, for decades, to designate the internet (and its appurtenances) as a utility and a common carrier.
