I'm sure some people have seen mine on other forums. It's by Miss Kika, an artist from SF. She does a lot of really cute noseless girl stuff (Samples below) and I actually have my avatar tattooed on my upper left arm. It's obviously not as boxy looking and has no black outlining, making it quite a bit softer. People often think its painted or fake, due to its brightness and lack of black outlining lol.

Edit: Okay apparently her newer stuff includes the nose lol

She makes some very interesting and borderline intoxicating stuff.  But I'm going to have to say post pix or bs on your tat.

I'm much too angry to describe anything about my avatar.

Your avatar is from a great online comic, which is NSFW :o though so no linky

Oglaf?

Yessir.  And that specific comic is especially nsfw for the language used.

But I'm still too angry to talk about it.

My avatar you ask...

It's black and empty.. just like that hollow spot in my soul which I fruitlessly try to fill with material goods such as keyboards...

Had a buddy create a verbhal logo for me.  I also asked for a simple V logo that can stand on its own.  Here is the full logo:

I use mine everywhere. Back in 2007, when I was first on the internet, I got really interested in making artistic fractals in a program called "apophysis". I made this in about 5 minutes to demonstrate to a friend how easy it is to make something that look good. I liked it a lot, so I decided to make an avatar of it. It's my avatar everywhere, I use it as my phone background, a B/W version is on my e-reader. I'm trying to figure out how to get it added to my Keurig screen, but that's a long shot.

Previously my avatar had been just a black/grey/red stylized "Dork Vader" that I made in MSpaint.

Sadly, I lost the original file (and all the files), so I can't render it any more, or any differently. I'm stuck with the 1600*1200 that I made originally.

Bytheway, if you see anyone using this, it should be me and we can chat or whatever. If it's not, please contact me.

I like to pick avatars of older men becasue it just kinda sits better with me... not that I'm just some child pretending to be mature but it (at least in my own head) gives my posts slightly more athority...
I also try and keep my avy the same for as long as I can becasue IMO when your browsing posts on forums the images more than the names are what you assossiate people with, kinda like there 'face'... and it pisses me off like wild-fire when people change there avy...

So with that nosensical logic I've used a bunch of diffrent images but usually settled on one and then kept that for all the forums I'm a member of... this is my old avy that I used on everything;

my old avy;

the original image;

Done by one of my fav artists 'dwdesign' that I know basically nothing about, which I kinda like. Used it for about 2yrs or so on various forums mostly GameTrailers when those forums had hidden factions.

But after those forums died (removed factions etc) I began to branch out looking for a new communites etc and began posting on here and other forums and felt like I needed to update and change my avy a little as it was really old (to me) and it becasue I'd moved about so much I felt like it needed updating... which is when I discovered on tumblr MaxCapacity a 'glitch' artist that does alot of work with 8-bit stuff but also messing with old VHS tapes and images like that, he created the image I'm currentally using.

I just prefer it becasue its alot more colourfull than my pervious avy and it's kinda a new art style (least to me) that sits better with the music and art that I like, here is the full image;

I think you may be right.

Always did like my direct message: "Command 1 - Help (Hex), Play (Test)"

Time to put it back.

Currently using the Section 9 logo from Ghost in the Shell.
Changed to this from the laughing man logo when someone else was using that.

The laughing man includes a partial J.D. Salinger quote: "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes"
The rest of the quote which was never included in Ghost in the Shell (Catcher in the Rye if you're interested) goes: "That way I wouldn’t have to have any goddamn stupid useless conversations with anybody."

Too many people on broadcast all the time and it reminds me (most of the time) not to speak unless I have something worthwhile to say.

Deaf-mutes and many other people with communication impacting disabilities have to make much more effort to communicate and I've found that when people broadcast less, it is usually more worth listening to.  I like the irony to the situation.

@asura: brilliant.
there was a bunch about that in one ep of the series :D need to rewatch it but on BD this time <3 that series the manga novels are great also.

Yep. GITS SAC definitely by far the best anime ever. I only have DVD but have like 3 copies. Bizarrely in 2nd Gig the region 2 title music was diff to region 1 and only some regions subtitled the lyrics on season 1 - never did figure out what language that was though!

Squirrels are just flying rats in a fancy outfit imho  ;D

My avatar comes from this
I came across this serie on Fubiz, the bulldog looks badass. (it looks like "wtf did I just do?")
I just can't picture a bulldog diving in a swimming pool to catch a ball, maybe they threw it!

Squirrels don't always fly!
Red squirrels are annoying and I mostly hate them.
Big black or grey squirrels are like little cute kitties or something hah
