No way. There's going to be so much outcry that they'll bring it back.

My art career is over.
Not that I do art or plan to.
But at least I had hope before.

Copies of XP fly off the shelves. Pop up virtual machine kiosks appear all over the world. Microsoft releases a $10 version of MS Paint in the MS store.

You think hardware upgrades are the same as digital DLC?

They're not upgrades,  they're fundamentally aesthetic changes that is built upon the base experience.

The only difference is they're not sold by the Parent company of the base experience device.

So it's like steam shop.

What? That's terrible.
I think I use that program more than I realize and I know I'll miss it sorely when it goes away.

Although I suspect that most of what I do in paint is copy/paste screenshots.

Microsoft confirms it's not killing off Paint after outpouring of support.
They say that they are going to remove it from Windows 10, but it is going to remain available on the Windows Store for free.

Which probably means that it is going to be uninstalled automagically with each Windows update ...

When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It is difficult only for the others.
It is the same when you are stupid.
