I just saw one sell for $172. Another one has 17 hours or so left and is only at $202. could things finally be simmer down with the SSK's?

It's a good width! If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

My prediction is that prices will stabilize in the low-$200s until a new Unicomp comes out in the low-$100s.

jcrouse sold his industrial SSK for $450 with several full keycap sets, not sure why SSK's always go for so much more on Ebay.
Well that SSK that was at $202 just sold for $305
