i was really confused by this episode at first, but it definitely had some really good moments. Still not quite as spectacular as I'd been hoping so far, though.

I wish they just ended on Interdimensional Cable, it sucks Justin gave up on that whole thing. This meta callback **** is exactly what ruined Adventure Time. It's good to pepper in once in a while, but not write entire episodes relying on lore knowledge of the show because it's not (or wasn't traditionally) that type of show. One example of a show doing long running metacontent while still retaining the original feel of the show would be the Roger's golden turd plot line in American Dad which has been going on for 12 seasons. Rickturn of the Jerri was a decent enough episode if you look at it on it's own, but I really don't want R&M to become that type of show. I think the referential jokes Rick makes about not wanting to 'do a Star Wars' shows the writers were aware of this and really this episode is just a big jerkoff session for the type of people who show up to a Comic Con panel to ask why Morty's left shoe was slightly off-color during one scene in s02e10

The writers seem very content to just do their own thing and make fun of everyone telling them what to do, which is excellent. I hope they maintain as much creative control as possible because the season was pretty good overall, I think. Maybe not as good as season 3, but solid for sure.

Already can't wait for S05!

It ranges from comedy to drama, similar to the style of futurama or finalspace. simpsons and family guy like to put you in your comfort zone, whereas rick and morty take you out. you can rewatch simpsons over again for that reason, but not with r&m. it's cathartic the first time you watch it, after that you're jaded and can't watch it again. I've seen the same said about an excellent japanese anime "Now and then, here and there"

One of the two writers was the showrunner for Community. It has the same type of humour, darkness, exploitation of issues and cynicism except less mature, with science fiction and more sex and violence.
Much of Rick and Morty's dialogue is ad-libbed. Stories are often twisted in multiple dimensions. (no pun intended)

The show is a bit arrogant and full of itself, but there are solid jokes in nearly every episode although later seasons seem to rely more on meta-humor to drive the dialogue. Way more running gags and references in the more recent seasons, which are two types of jokes I'm not personally a fan of.

Tp4 hung out wit the kewl kids in college, socially smoked cigarettes every thursday evening which was party night. Don't know why, all the girls who smoked (in college) were significantly more attractive than those who did not.

Purchased ~3 packs of cigarettes in the past 10yrs, so don't quite qualify as a smoker. TOTALLY WANT TO THOUGH.. Cigarettes are awesome. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

Very possible, but if Tp4 were to put the attraction into more detail, would describe it as the allure of their nihilism. They're not enveloped in the more generic girly-girl whims

More attractive girls get more attention, and socialise more with people, including smokers. And the more you socialise with smokers, the higher the risk that you develop the addiction.
