I have to say, it is a lot of effort, I mean, I don't have (yet) rice cooker, so need to do whole process "manually". Washing rice first, takes me like 30-40 times rinsing rice to get it clean (yes tp, like you said - washing rice is a MUST

), then soaking, then cooking, then cooling. After all that, it takes me good 2 hours (depends on amount and kind of rolls I need to do) to roll that sushi. Whole process is exhausting for me, back always hurt, even after losing a lot of weight, still not an easy task for me. But then, my family and I love sushi, this one, home made, so I can do that once every 4-5 months I guess.
