New disc is out.

Superb image quality.

A bit _Noisier_ than would've liked, but it's faithful.

The first one directed by Paul Verhoeven is a classic. I didn't like the second (directed by Irvin Kershner), and hardly noticed that there were more.

When I was a kid in the '80s, my dad wrote about film and got a pre-release copy of the movie on VHS to review - uncut with all the gore intact that otherwise got cut before going up on screens over here. (because film censorship was a thing here back then). I watched that tape so many times...

1 is an amazing '80s sci-fi absolute classic, 2 is a fun '80s novelty if you enjoyed the first but nowhere near as good.

The other's and the tv show are hot garbage

When first came out I was 7yo and remember watching it on VHS with my dad, we loved the movie, but I was really scared of that second robot. It was so weird when it fell the stairs and made pig noises...

The first is obviously the best. 2 is watchable. I don't remember anything about 3.

I think 1 was the first rated R movie I ever saw, and really shouldn't have even seen it at my age. My parents must have thought it was fine because it was about a robot cop ... I guess.

There's a lot of ****s getting blown off in that movie, not to mention the infamous "birth" of robocop via a policeman being not so much filled with led as having huge chunks of his body blown off until the bullets that remained in his flesh made up 30% of his body weight. Can't imagine watching that as a kid, my parents were good at there job and showed me Alien instead.
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen, Seventeen, Eighteen, Nineteen, Twenty... Yeah that seems about right.

100% agree. The first one is one of the best movies ever made. Robocop, Aliens, and Terminator 2 are the holy trinity of movies.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

That's exactly what I'd pick for best sci fi action movies of all-time (I'd go Alien though).
Maybe a toss up between Robocop and Blade Runner, I love both equally for very different reasons.
But T2 and Alien for sure... Jurassic Park is great too.
