What's our stance on piracy?
« on: Fri, 01 May 2015, 03:33:59 »
https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=70889.0

anyone else watch the first four eps of this season yet, they are "available"

Just so we're clear - here's some context: Game of thrones was leaked

Well let's keep this one simple.
Whether or not this simply fell through the cracks or is reflective of broader system issues of poor discretionary "pick and choose" moderation, this GOT thread is a clear example of a post which should be removed because of it's reference to piracy and illegal activity.
This has been brought up more than once and is pretty cut and dry as far as these type of things go.

I also have to commend whoever removed noisyturtle's thread.
It was a good gesture and the right thing to do.

If you run around naked at 88 miles per hour in circles with a boner, it's theoretically possible to penetrate your own anus thus creating a stable time loop of high-speed whirlwind buttsex.

can the same be achieved by strapping your feet to the roof of a car doing 88mph?

A lack of comon sense and urgency previals yet again.
Yet again time after time, despite what is said, we see that geekhack selectively enforces dubious illegal activity.
It's undeniable where true prioritles really lie here.

NOT AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT!

It's my view that general discussion on the topic is OK. Providing direct links or explicit instruction is NOT OK.

This is what I went on when the matter inadvertently pops up. I'd like to think we are all adults, but I know we aren't all quite there yet...
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

On the left, "pirate like an Egyptian" stance.  On the right, correct pirate stance.

My stance on piracy is that I want to be one. I want to sail the seven seas, looting and pillaging for what I want/need. But I have to be the captain, none of this swabby bull**** for me. Guess I need to look into getting a ship.

Some nonsense anime made me think pirating is OK (in the seas) as long as you have your friends.

Well, then I need to recruit some people from GH to be my crew. Other than that, I have no friends, so all's good!

I'll be crew mate #1!

We'll play music on Youtube playlists to avoid piracy.
