Sony did just that already with some PS3 Store titles. I own and paid for Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on my PS3, cost me $30, but I can never play it ever again like that.
What is even worse is editing the EULA a decade after millions have signed it. Looking at you, Valve - scumbag move.
The twisting of consumer arms to give them less control over things they are paying for is a reflection of the future. There needs to be laws in place to protect consumers from corperations being allowed to override their Constitutional Rights by changing agreements, and forcing the consumer to sign them by blocking service until they do. It is so ****ed up, Orwellian ****, but people are so lazy and fatigued they just sign over their rights without blinking.
Has anyone been keeping up with that story of the couple in NJ who's Uber driver ran a red light and got into an accident, leaving them with life-long injuries. But because their preteen daughter once ordered a pizza via Uber Eats a year prior, they cannot take any legal action? Sickening.
Or not being able to take any legal action against Disney if you are ever injured in one of their parks?
The list goes on, and grows every day. There is no consumer protection, it is all a myth. America runs on corporate greed.
