I have got hooked on videos on Youtube by a Japanese guy who films interesting and beautiful sites in Japan, just walking while filming uncut in one take from start to end: mimicking the experience of visiting the site yourself.
I live in an area in Sweden between several parks with several royal chateaus and other sights, and it is also an area that hosts events, so I thought: Hey why not start documenting my neighbourhood, just filming walks from start to end. So I got a cheap camera and motorised gimbal, and started walking and filming.
Unfortunately, while Japanese people are quite shy and used to cameras, every effing goddamned Swedish dog-walker I pass just has to walk up to me and ask what I'm doing and ask about my gimbal, interrupting my shots.
I had not taken peoples behaviour into account. I thought it was going to be simple, just film and cut the ends off, but now I have to rethink my approach and get into video editing.
