Watched in horror as the "What's bothering you" thread got locked.

AND got an email saying my set of full shine through gold zinc caps won't be fulfilled because of manufacturing issues. Got refunded a bit so I will get WASD and arrow shinethrough but I don't know if I can be bothered seeing as they are going on an RGB board. Really pissed me off actually.

But the bothered thread is locked so that's why I'm posting this here.

Got a new tyre for the first time

Clipped a curb and tore a 2 inch rip in my tyre... gutted, managed to limp the poor girl back to a tyre shop where they replaced it for £45 which wasn't too bad, space-saver kits are god damn dreadful wish they still included spare tyres

You're lucky to get one in new small cars nowadays. Space savers are a luxury and full size spares are a hundred pound extra, if you ever get the option.

Quite a busy day!

Spent mine working on a server architecture I should setup for my company (I'm a co-CEO in my newly created company, hehe). 15hours work is tiring as ****.

Last, I saw that the teaser had "Enjoy it in 3D" at the end, which made me very angry.

Eh, no. It is an oxidation process where the surface turns black, in order to protect it. It is done on classic guns. Some steel alloys get a bluish tint, others more purple.

Just for your healths sake, don't do the blueing in the house. And it doesn't work on stainless, fair warning on that if you haven't come across that tidbit either. It only works on carbon steels. There are other methods for working with stainless.

Today, I worked on the car. Got the front rotors and pads, spark plugs, plug wires, and oil changed. Still hate doing plugs and wires on front wheel drive. The one exception was a couple years of Caddilac that was front wheel drive but the engine was still in the RWD configuration.

I'm doing it on the balcony at least. I am doing a variant of the classic labour-intensive method. There is heat, but not nearly as much heat as a boiling salt bath, which is the prevailing industrial method.

I used to use cold-bluing liquids. Those are more nasty chemicals than the ones I am using now. The worst now is hydrogen peroxide, which many here have used for retr0bright.

Took the car out on the highway after plugs, plug wires, and an oil change. The center electrode on the old plugs looked like a sewing needle. After 5 hours I had an average of 34 mpg. Not bad for a car I paid $5k for, is 12 years old, and has 155k miles on it.

Traded my blue stems and springs that I had removed from my one Dolch PCB, and I want to use blues on the main board, so I am now opening the switches on my other Dolch PCB to install them on the other one, as it has some minor mods that I like on there. But, when the clears come, I plan on buying 65g springs to give a different version of the ergoclear a go.
