Hung out with FlyersFan1 in Philly today. He's such a cool dude!  Now it's back to the train and the airport for a flight back home.

He bailed on me. He owes me a hangout! So jealous of you :D

Well after you hang out with him you can come down to Florida and hang out with me

And you might recognize this:

Oh snap!

I went to Philly to visit a friend about 6 months back. I think I went there. That was in that in Reading Terminal Market?

Edit: on reread... you might be saying that is in FL, in which case: no, I have not been there.

Sorry for being so unclear; that is indeed the Terminal Market in Philly. I added it because CptBadAss and others ate there at the pen show they went to I believe.

But we have cool stuff in Florida too!
I'm back.

Took the car out on the highway after plugs, plug wires, and an oil change.  The center electrode on the old plugs looked like a sewing needle.  After 5 hours I had an average of 34 mpg.  Not bad for a car I paid $5k for, is 12 years old, and has 155k miles on it.

Nice! What kind of car?

I finished a keyboard today as well.  At least the physical build, just need to get the layout programmed into it now.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Had 3 hours sleep. Was woken at 11am by the estate agents asking for a load of documents to try and start the purchase process going but I need to get a solicitor, and of course, I'm not going to magic one up on a weekend... We will make good progress next week I hope.

At work now though until 8am again D:

Before re-building A.87s with gateron switches will come, I soldered diode and calculated full orange and yellow green led`s ohm,,

I never understood the whole beach thing..

You get up early... do all the packing... drive for like an hour... get dosed with all that radiation... eat something to cool to make up for the elevated cancer risk... then you have an hour to drive back while ur tired..you get home, oh gee, more unpacking....  THEN you gotta shower...

It's like going to work, but worse + cancer..

Heroin

I never understood why people do Heroin.
You lead a decrepit life only to escape into a worse life away from the grace of our Lord and Savior.
It's like trying to trading your life for nothing.

I thought you of all people would understand these sort of value assigned interactions.

Yay!

Now comes the fun of unpacking, and trying to find everything :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

***** the police.
*I happen to be a storm chaser. The rotating wall cloud came to me.

After I finished working on cables around 6 got some prawn stir fry and had a nice hefenwiezen (Maisels Weisse). I jumped back in the workshop about 8 and got myself a monitor stand made up. As I only have a cheap Ikea desk, my monitor arms are biting into the desk and the monitors are starting to lean forward.

I made a simple stand (and will put the monitors back on the stock stands soon) to put the monitors on. I'm working on re-jigging my room a bit and my desk, pc, wires etc are a mess. Simple Ikea shelf, cheapo eBay 150mm table legs and some black vinyl wrap. 1 hour later, all the legs are screwed on solid, vinyl is laying perfectly (lots of heatgun work)!

I kept one of the V80s back for testing and I'm just using it stock at the moment, before I get some SA profile caps for it. Weirdly enjoying MX Browns, I never liked them, but its a change from linear switches and Topre  for a while  (please don't hate me).

Yea, starting to really like tactile again. I started out with a Choc Mini with blues, going back to mah roots. Going to put Geteron blue in my RS 84 and greens in my GH60.

I vinyl wrapped the shelf/ monitor stand with matte black, once I have everything finished, I will post some better pics up. EDIT:- also made a white LED strip for under shelf lighting :D

The trackball is awesome, I think I may dye/ wrap/ plastidip it black as I want all my peripherals in black. My Parvum case is cream and burgundy, so once I get my room sorted out, it will stand out like a sore thumb, which is good, cus the case is stunning

Im back to my second board, I've not given it a lot of love recently, but I thought I would go back to MX Browns instead of their Kailh cousins. I've reconsidered and there is a definite difference.

That sounds cool, what colour is the rest of the desk? Those cases are really awesome, I'm very jealous.

Those cases are really awesome, I'm very jealous.

desk is black too, like to keep everything as clean as possible! :D

Went to the denist. (Got a cavity unfortunately but at least they can now do something about it.)
Finally figured out how to program my Orion. CtrlCaps works much better for my wrists but years of muscle memory don't disappear overnight.
Bought some stuff at work for a ridiculously low price. :D

I found a possible workaround/bypass to my school's lack of Administrator privileges and Lightspeed Filter. This brings me joy to no end and I will be trying it out next week when I have alone time with the computers. I may get my middle school glory back and have unlimited Internet again.

I thought you'd been a bit quiet lately ...

Wetsanded and polished my wheels, dropped them off with fresh tires for mounting/balancing.  Did a 3.3 mile run at the gym, and picked up my wheels on the way back to my shop.  I'm finally on my summer wheels now!  Then my buddy and I went to our local pub and watched the Canucks **** the bed.  Still a net positive day, which is great!

Nice. What wheels are they? I'm looking forward to getting mine on this month :)
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Just the original wheels from my car, staggered 17x7.5 and 8.5.  I've liked them enough for 5 years now to not spend money on replacing them yet.  I refinished the rears due to previous owner curbage, took way too long to fix.

Another productive day today. Got out to the range before the rain hit, used up a box of super ****ty 22lr ammo that I got last time (just fine at 25yd, but they start drawing 4" circles around the target at 50yds).  Hit the gym again, did another 3.3 miles at a faster maintained pace. Down to 202 lbs (from 230 at the start of the year) and fit nicely into 36W jeans (from 42W), so progress is awesome! :thumb:  Just had steak and salad, now it's time to read for my course (which I know most of anyways).

I'm sitting in my final right now, it's time to kick ass and take names.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done
