I watched the ISS fly over my house last night. Was kinda cool.

ISS is one of the coolest things ever. Still blows my mind

Got some timings of iridium flares as well so if I can work out where the satellites are going to be then I can hopefully spot a nice bright light at some point.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Not cool enough if you didn't establish radio contact with its inhabitants :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

or built up giant fires sending them a message
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I got to see booper, mashby, and hashby today. And an adorable puppy. It was the best part of my weekend and I went to mk.com (thanks again 00zero) and two concerts.

What does that mean?  Like an epoxy coating or something like that?

There's easily a few grand worth of keyboard stuff in that box. Some of it will probably go up for sale soonish.

Started working on painting my shed. This here's just primer and I didn't bother doing much cleaning\prepping before hand other than sweeping out webs and such. Going with a hand brush rather than a roller or sprayer - cheaper and so far I'm only out about $3 in supplies (free primer, $1 brushes, some masking tape).

Previous person did a really ****ty job with a roller, didn't mask off beams, didn't get complete covering and didn't bother to do the entire thing. There's a lot of damaged wood in the back from leaks so I just did a really fast coat over that until I get some wood to replace it and seal off the roof.

I actually impressed the hell out of myself.  I was in the garage making a jig to layout holes for adding a windows key to F122 and unsaver plates.  Well I took some measurements, drilled some holes, ran some maths, more measurements, drilled another hole.  And my hole for marking the actual additional hole on the IBM plate, came out within .002" of dead center between the other holes in the jig.  The other holes fit over the two barrels on either side of the new switch.  And this is all I used for tools for the entire project.

Now I just need to figure a jig for holding he plate so I drill the holes square.
