Technically it was this weekend but I painted my new place together with some friends and family. Me girlfriend and I went back on Sunday to add the color accents;

View from the living room. The rest is completely white.

This is what you see from the kitchen and when you enter. Just a subtle accent.

Of course it's not done yet but I'm quite pleased myself. :)

Looks great, I love those colors together.  Does everyone in the Netherlands have such modern kitchens?  ;)  I like it.

Thanks Hoff. :)

It's just what came with the place. It's a rental appartment that is located in a 60's monastery that was recently renovated.
I've got some plans for the rest of the place but everything will come together once I get the carpet in and start moving in some other stuff. ;)

Typically only see that kind of kitchen in multi-story homes near my area. Anyway, the paint job look great

Went to London to apply for a Spanish visa. Had an appointment at 14:30, left the visa centre after 17:00. **** you very much VFS Global and the Kingdom of Spain.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Had a bit of fun at the gym today testing some maxes.

Bench: 265 lbs (5 lb increase)
Squat: 465 lbs (10 lb increase)

Pleased with both.  Might have had more on the bench were I not lowering the bar so slowly.

I fixed up my MA42 because some of the switches were a bit loose. I've must of not glued them enough so they started to pop out. Cleaned the case, did some little cable management and reprogrammed the layout back to my original layout because HHKB layout just wasn't working for me.

Another thing I did - found my old Yu-gi-oh card deck and will be getting into that now. Me & some friends figured that we could play some cool card games and so we're getting ready for some battles. Could be cool but I don't remember the rules & need to make a good decj with the cards I have. Maybe someone's playing and can show me the way to becoming a Master?

As a heterosexual male, I can not not appreciate seeing topless lesbian girls in the Gay Pride parades. :P

But seriously, overall there is often a great positive party atmosphere over the whole thing. I have met people who have participated in Stockholm Pride only because it is fun - despite not being gay.

There is the same %percentage of  -trashy- gay people as there are -trashy- hetero people as there are -trashy- feminists..

The problem comes when you hand THESE people a social-issue..  They either diminish the cause, or divert from them..

Swapped out the burner tubes and deflectors last night in anticipation of grilling tonight.

Used my panavise PCB arms with my own support bars for the first time.

Ah the Panavise GH edition GB. I remember that one. Almost bought the last one but... money.
You had Noko build you a leather base for it didn't you?

Yeah, I did the base plate, along with drilling and tapping the holes for the base.  But I did send it to Noko for the amazing leather work.

Helped to clean the house we were living in. We aren't even settled in the new place and have to basically see over two houses atm, it's got the wife kind of stressed. Me too.
Soon we'll be done with one of them though and hopefully after that there will be a period of peace and quiet. That's all I really want right now, just peace and quiet.
