I'm not that old, but I don't remember anyone's thinking large diameter females were attractive in my day (except for that big butts song, which I always thought was a joke). Is this a new phenomenon with the kids these days? Thin was always in, and any female with remotely large legs, hips, or butt was called "thunder thighs" by some. I personally don't like stick legs, thigh gap, or fat. I've always thought a slightly muscular lower half (like soccer players, track athletes, dancers) was the most attractive.

Thicc generally only characterizes hip circumference,  but it is the _waist_ which makes the Thicc Look Good..


Otherwise,  it's just considered Phat.  even if it is Thicc ,  it's downgraded !

It's also possible that around age 70 people just don't eat as much. So in addition to overweight/obese individuals possibly dying due to weight-related illnesses, some may just be losing weight due to other factors associated with old age (non-weight related diseases, appetite decline, etc).

Considering myself as part of the younger generation we do find thick as attractive, and in my opinion it is great that people are trying to get rid of the idea that skinny has to = pretty that has been ingrained in our heads since we've been kids by the fashion industry. Personally I prefer somewhere between "skinny" and phat", sort of if you took the notion of a "dad bod" but for females.
