There’s no actual car punching though, the guy’s classmates were making up stories about how he hurt his hand
oh man, I used to do that sort of thing all the time. I'll have to look into that one.

I've heard a lot of good things about NHK and I should add that to my list :P

I watched it after Lastpilot recommended it to me and liked it.

Did anyone NOT like --My Neighbor Totoro--

I was bored throughout most of it..

Snorlax is one of my favorite pokemon, so I did like the fat totoro..  but that' was the only thing that I though was appealing about the anime..

The rest of it was like.. why do I care that you moved into some farm house and grew some magic beans..

Why is that interesting?

i don't care for 90% of miyazaki films. they're as difficult to watch as most old disney movies. i'll probably change my tune once i watch them with my kid, but no otherwise kid fodder.

Not sure if I agree with that...but im not sure how they recognized it either.  I tried reverse imaging and all i kept getting was rustled jimmies or something.

Watched ep 2 of akame and aldnoah.  Really happy with akame so far, kept with the anime and wasnt really censored.  Aldnoah was ****ing great, especially the music.  The mechas move slower than I wanted though.  Hopefully that will change as the series goes on.  Really happy with MC of it though.  He isn't your typical mecha ***** kid that has to grow and mature as the series goes on.  and he somehow manages to buy the eggs on sale from ep1 and still makes an omelette during the events happening...what a boss

I haven't seen seed so I can't comment on him.  Though it seems a fair amount of people liked him based on his myanimelist page.  I was thinking of trying unicorn next if I decide I want to watch a mecha.  I'm sure he cant be worse than renton or simon.

kira yamoto in the first 2/3 of gundam seed was great, learned how to be awesome killed lots of guys. then the last 1/3 was castrated kira, decides to cuts the arms off of mechs and sound hippie gay. kira in gundam seed destiny is a hippie x2 but destiny was just a big ass cluster**** of ****ty ****ity **** anyway.

oh i actually liked gundam seed btw, it was one of the better gundams of **** out there, and i've watched 95% of all gundam stuff, cuz well, thats what i grew up on. gundam seed destiny is whats wrong with ****ty gundam, they just try to milk as much money out of a series that they try create horrible characters, revive good characters, and just play the dartboard o story and hope money just keeps on rolling in.

aldnoah reeks of gundam to me, it is almost every good scene just piled into the episode. which isn't a bad thing.

well, I'm only slightly disappointed because the hype was around ( yay originality)  while I did question whether that was even possible in Mecha... I am elated in a way that clearly, no, no it's not... haha

I didn't really have any feels from watching grave.  I mean yeah the story is sad and all but you know how it ends from the start.  Maybe its also cause I watched it with others instead of alone though.  I usually get more emotional alone.

you guys with zero feels watching grave of the fireflies with subs and not dubs right?

grave of the fireflies is just like the first 10 minutes of up. actually i think it's been that long from seeing grave of the fireflies (saw it in the 90s) to UP that animation evoked feelz.

Subbed, and like i said its not that I didn't think it wasn't sad...I just wasnt as attached or into the story i guess as some of you.  I've had many feels and cried at many other anime, grave just didn't do it for me.

I finished Maoyuu not too long ago.
I felt it was kind of pointless, considering that there's not gonna be another season, but I totally got all emotional at the 'I Am Human' bit.
If today had been a hippo, then you'd really have to worry about tomorrow.

I watched Grave of the Fireflys last night. What the **** movie? What the ****ing ****? I don't need this **** right before bed!

I didn't cry watching Grave of the Fireflies but I found it extremely depressing to watch. I will probably never rewatch it.

i started watching knights of sidonia the other day. it's pretty good so far, i like how similar it is to attack on titan in certain ways.

I also watch the first episode of Kill la Kill on a friend's recommendation...didn't really like it. i'm not a fan of rampant fanservice :/

It's Attack on Titan IN SPACE

And KLK isn't for everyone

it's more of an otaku-pandering anime, or if you get desensitized early on to the fanservice

KLK is for people who like over the top.  It's very similar to gurren lagann.  Some people see it as rampant fan service, others of us just don't even notice it except for certain parts.  Honestly I feel its a different kind of fan service than other anime have and once you learn more about the story it makes sense.  I felt I was laughing more at fan service parts than drooling over them.  And at least for me the fanservice wasn't as cringey as others (finger sucking...explosing tits/jiggling just because...or tentacle raping shampoo bottles).  But obviously it isnt for everyone.  If you don't like the fan service in ep 1 you wont like ep3.

you're right D: i tend to enjoy more action-y, violent, and drama-filled manga (i've only started watching anime recently). i think KLK is the first comedy-ish, crazy anime episode i've ever watched (well, I used to watch the funimation dubbed one piece episodes when i was like...12). the fanservice parts just made me think "why is this here..."; honestly, I'm not a fan of random nudity in television/movies either, so i think it makes sense how I dislike it in KLK. i still wanted to give it a try though! my friend said it just gets better over time.

@CK Briefs: omg, yes it is. though I like the characters in SNK a lot more...the whole love triangle with nagate kind of made me facepalm
