I have spent a fair amount of time between Thursday and today watching Bakemonogatari through Monogatari Series S2 from start to finish for the first time. Why did I wait this long to watch something so awesome? At least Hanamonogatari is starting soon so there is something more to look forward to.

I should probably catch up on that series as I've only watched Bakemonogatari so far. I loved the character development but the show in general was a little slow paced for my liking. I'll probably pick up Nisemonogatari soon anyway as I don't have a lot to watch this season.

Don't have a lot to watch!?!?

I have like 10 shows from this season that I'm still watching and I've already dropped 3

The pacing does not change much but the character development only gets better. Nisemnogatari was my least favorite of the three but it is worth it just to get to Monogatari S2.

Hahaha, nothing really caught my eye except for Sabagebu (which is actually coming along MUCH better than I had expected), and I didn't really look into much else because I wanted to use it as an opportunity to catch up on my backlog a little.

Currently watching pingpong based on Hasu's recommendation in this topic.

I just finished watching Ghost in the Shell SAC.
It was really good! The only thing I didn't like was the 3D animated intro, it looked weird I guess.
In the end.. the keyboard's most grand form of existence is as an ethereal bridge between man and machine..    Each depression of the keys, evanescent.. Our transitory thoughts crashing into the web, carving canyons through the internet wasteland such that life may once again flourish..

It's pretty dated now, I guess.
I really like the intro song, though.

Also +1 for 2nd Gig.

I was planning to get all the Miyazaki Ghibli films that were released in those beautiful Japanese Collector's Edition Blu Ray's but then after shopping around realized the prices were absolutely mad. People are asking upwards of $170 for Princess Mononoke alone.

**** it, guess I'll just get 'em all in plain old DVD, besides I don't think they released Ponyo in that series anyway.

I hope so, brother... supposedly the story gets much darker and mature after Second Raid. Even if they did make further series, I'm sure they'll lighten it up for the general audience but as long as they stay with KyoAni, and hopefully, Takemoto Yasuhiro, I'm sure we'll be fine. Hopefully...

Hmm, I've been meaning to watch FMP for awhile now.  Guess I should try to watch it soon. :)

Has anyone seen Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu?  It was pretty bizarre but I loved that show.  However, only watch the original TV series.  The later OVA series were terrible and not funny at all for me.

Don't think this counts as it ended in Spring, but I'm watching Log Horizon atm in preparation for the new season in October, and it's actually awesome!

As for summer season, I'd recommend:

- Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun is my Anime of the Season (HILARIOUS comedy, slice of life; very character-driven and it's not forced at all)

- Aldnoah.Zero (from the Urobutcher himself comes a mecha title very similar in nature to Code Geass; its key aspect is that it's much more realistic than other mechas--rather than sheer willpower or demi-god abilities, the MC wins through intelligence and strategic sacrifices)

- Zankyou no Terror (it was hyped up to be almost movie-quality in animation and character development; it veered a bit off course, but it starts off as a very smart battle between tacticians, with a plot focusing on terrorists trying to get their message across)

Watched pingpong not long ago and it was excellent. Also watched that "Ryūgajō Nanana no Maizōkin" one (totaly copypasta from internet. I can't be bothered to type all that) and it was pretty good but too short.

I'm really confused about why they kept making anime after Cowboy Bebop. That seemed like a wholly logical stopping point.

you can only watch it so many times until you have it memorized entire.
