Is a Crunchy Roll subscription worth it?

I just went through hell batch converting PGS subtitles.. It works, but this is really slow because it goes through OCR.. at least it works by batch.. still slow though.

Show Image

Also, can the crunchy roll subtitles be moved to the center of the screen?

Never used crunchyroll... created an account before they gone commercial, but never really use it.
If I wanted to watch one without downloading, I would go to kissanime, totally fine with streaming 1080p if your connection is stable and up to speed.

Tp you normally download and watch or stream?

I dl, because I'm not early bird enough to catch the streamable bandwidth.

hahaha.... stream does not necessary mean you have to watch it at the same time it airs  :p

sorry tp, this show does not have robots... the timeline doesn't have technology advanced enough to have robots...
but this one is a Wit Studio original anime, by the same team that did Attack on Titan, hence many people cite the similarity of the both.

I have not watch it yet, because I cannot stand watching anime episodes per week, it is killing me.

I have needs.

Time travels
Robots
Samurai
Ninjas
Pirates

If it doesn't contain the criteria then I probably wont watch it. Dragon Ball Z does not fit the criteria imo because they are fake ninjas

I use to watch Dragon Ball Z after school, it was aight

Samurai - Afro Samurai, Samurai Champloo, Samurai X (Rurounin Kenshin)
Ninjas - Basilisk (epic **** ninjas)
Pirates - Hmm... One Piece? But I only watched till episode 14....

I think Dragon Ball Z does not have ninjas, you might mean naruto  :p

i'm up to date with the latest episode

i have a feeling i might be enjoying it more if i didn't see Attack on Titan beforehand, the similarities are everywhere (listing them would be spoiling stuff though)

even disregarding the similarities though, i liked AoT's characters a lot more than i like the characters in KotIF

well, if you want to talk about identical characters..

EVERY anime has identical characters.. hahahahahaha...

There's a very specific anime language they follow..

i've not seen a deviation in ~ 17 years..

Except I guess anime-bewbs have gotten even larger..

yeah definitely but the similarities reach beyond the characters and spread into the plot, it's silly

both animes have a serious lack of big anime tiddies though. definitely taking points away for that.

I have been binge-watching anime recently...
Arc the Lad, Birdy the Mighty Decode (2 seasons), Brynhildr in the Darkness (1 season) and Elfen Lied.

Birdy and Brynhildr in the Darkness were complete seasons, but I am disappointed in that they ended with loose ends and with no more seasons.
I watched Elfen Lied because it was by the same created as BinD and people have seen similarities between the two stories. It was very dark and melancholic with lots of blood and child nudity, even pedophilia (vilified, not made fun of).

I dislike anything that contains ecchi, harrems, lolicon or if the story is around a group of one gender with no romance, and I dislike characters with huge cleavages because the anime always makes their personality so annoying. But that's just me  ^-^

shokugeki no soma is pretty cool but I also dislike the ecchi part. Highschool girls with ****ing 34F sized breasts or something makes me unhappy.

I think, the element is a staple in anime,

But, yea you are right that it needs the proper Context..  Something like Queen's Blade and Prison School are just completely pointless ecchi..

Shows that I've been liking this season

Berserk, even if it makes me want to bleach my eyes after watching but still the story's just too good to not watch it.

Mob psycho 100 is probably anime of the year for me.

Food wars s2, nuff said.

Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin is pretty cool, nothing amazing but a lot better than the usual war school/harem/whatever bull**** shows.

I'm probably gonna check out 91 days and Planetarian. I had high hopes for Days and Battery but boy was I disappointed.

Looking at the cast list I'm even more confused. It's like they didn't want to completely whitewash the film so they have filled it with some Japanese actors but not in any of the main roles... Pilou Asbæk as Batou and nobody credited as Togusa yet. Colour me confused.

Plus I think it will be CGI's to death to make it as much like the anime's atmosphere as possible. Otherwise it will just be weird as ****.

i think the main issue is  There arn't tooo many BUSTY hollywood females who could act..

ScarJo isn't a great actress either,  but she's got more xp than the rest..

All the busty ones are well, just busty... hahahahahaha

Still,  I think ScarJo is getting way way too old and wrinkly to play makoto.. who is a picture perfect cyborg.

Breast size is not a thing I even considered when thinking about who would play Motoko. Or something I would consider tbh. Just because she's done a few Marvel films doesn't make her a great action star.

Anime has a very strict FORM..   The ratio for Chest/Waist/Hip  are defining characteristics for --the characters--

YOU personally may not consider it important..  but the majority of anime fans adhere to the original formula..

And since these fans will compose the main audience base..  When you produce the film, you have to consider that..

This is not to say, the fan sits down and measure,   but when you are trying for an adaptation,  lack of the proper ratio will draw an un-canny response from the viewer.

This is the same reason why Wonder woman and Supergirl looks weird compared to their comic book counterpart..

Their human body ratios are completely off from their cartoon/ comic version..

I downloaded the two seasons of GITS today (don't worry, I have both sets on DVD as well so it's not piracy) and am four episodes in to season one.

I forgot how much I love this show.

I thought first season was great..  then second one was okkk.... then the second half of the second season just turned into talk-fest...  non stop talking about random stuff that while potentially interesting topics on their own  really took away from the show, because it did not tie in very well..

I get that. I'm not a huge anime fan as well I guess. Like when people start to name drop in an RPG game (Tera or WoW or whatever is popular at the time) I can't even pronounce 90% of what they mention. Steins;Gate is a close runner up to my favorite (Samurai Champloo) but not quite the same I think.

Binged foodwars last week.
Damn what a nice anime.
Didn't have so much fun watching last few months.

Try watching Yakitate!! Japan, it's as good.. or better than Shokugeki no Soma IMO. Puns for days

If it doesn't contain the criteria then I probably wont watch it. Dragon Ball Z does not fit the criteria imo because they are fake ninjas

I use to watch Dragon Ball Z after school, it was aight

Gintama has all of this and more. It even has Dragon Ball Z in it

If you think the first episode is good... episode 5+ just gets more and more hilarious as they introduce more and more characters
