I started typing in the 1980s in the sixth form, in the days when keyboards weren't the flat, rather dull things they are now. I have typed on an Adler electric keyboard, an Olympus manual (hard going), a BBC keyboard (the beginnings of computing), a Commodore 64 (very nice), Golfball typewriter (noisy), old Spectrum (ouch), portable typewriter (more ouch), various typewriters, UNIX computer keyboard, old Apple iMac, then IBM Model M (the original and noisy), and various Fujitsu ones, Apple iMac (current effort) and Apple laptop keyboards.
Quite a list.
And those who say a mechanical keyboard is a noisy thing, haven't been in a room full of professional typists using IBM Model Ms! Now thats noise.
