Got some poke at

http://www.yelp.com/biz/north-shore-poke-co-cerritos

Only my second time having poke, but it's great. I have heard other places are better, but can't be bothered to drive that far.

Spent the afternoon at the Exploratorium in San Francisco with family. Although I have a lot of interest in science, I'm not as nerdy as I thought I was. After a while it got a bit meh. I'm definitely much more passionate about creative stuff than science.

Man, places like that are amazing when you're a kid. I used to spend entire days at the Cloisters Children's Museum in MD, and then beg my mom to take me back the next day... and the next. It's like exploring whole new worlds if they are designed correctly. Sigh, nostalgia. :)

I got it from Galena Tees in Galena, IL.  They also had a shirt with a stick figure guy with his hands up and the caption underneath said "I POOPED TODAY".

A friend of mine punched a kid in the face for max damage for no reason, we took over his house and set up traps for any intruders.

Hell yeah I wish our group wouldn't have broke up.  one of the DM's had a god complex, so he left.  Then there ended up being a bunch of drama between a couple guys due to living arangements and then a woman got in the middle of it.  Got ugly.  Really put a damper on our gaming.

Same here. Well, my mom and stepdad, that is; they just went to court to finalize it this past week... my mom and dad separated when I was 6...

On a slightly less depressing note, I finally finished bolt modding my 122-key Model M, only to find that the entire home row does not function. I'm guessing I need to dis and reassemble it and make sure the membrane is seated properly... or replace it entirely...

EDIT: Membrane is fully functional. Must have been the rubber sheet wasn't seated properly... will try reassembling it...

but they are all commies
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

also, found out in news: Komi Republic tried to sue an entrepreneur in Syktyvkar, who created a copter pizza delivery service, for "air delivery without a license", but failed, lol.

Ate durian. Forgot how awful durian is when someone else madness it. Blegh.
I have never tried it, or even been in it's presence, and never plan on trying it, but what would you say it tastes like?

Actually I do like it! I even ate durian ice cream flavor back when I worked in an Asian grocery store (I'm not Asian). I'm really open-minded on food matters and I'm very curious as well. I love black beans ice cream flavor. The only thing I wouldn't try was fried fish bladders.

And they never heard from CLIB again...
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Happy birthday, RaY of SpAm :)

I'm guessing it was "yesterday", based on time differences and how long it is since I checked this thread, otherwise I would have started your own HB thread.  Seems a bit late now though.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Watched the first episode of Star Trek TNG in its glorious remastered Blu-ray format. Just 50 GB left.

DS9 (except some of the last season) > TNG

Come at me bro.

That said:
Picard > Sisko

I've seen both many times..  DS9.. well.... it's pretty good... I think both series are well done..  Although I feel DS9 was unnecessary, because TNG already explored all of the major topics..
