Looks like Nostalgia.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I think it's a custom theme designed by Frenir.  Either billnye or photekq uses one (don't remember who mentioned it in the stream last week).

Got paid for a 9 hour shift to come into work and basically play Street Fighter for 45 minutes before going home. Found out I'm being considered for another promotion. Stopped by the Pawn shop and picked up a few games for a steal (see link below.) Now I'm about to smoke a cone of White Fire Alien OG and it's only 1pm!

Thank you. I've been living in one country for too many years eventually getting bored and thinking about something new, and then, all of a sudden, Boom! Crimea! Sanctions! Recession! Rouble is kill! SUDDENLY job offer! So I'm going there to steal a jerb. Also I wouldn't mind having a EEA member passport. UK by itself isn't very appealing to me.
Also might I ask, why did you move to Canada?

Also... you don't write, you don't call. Why don't you love me no more!? :(

Filed papers for a UK immigration visa. Usually I wake up at eleven, but now it's only 10:30 and I have already accomplished something!
Good luck. I just finally got a work permit for Canada and that was the biggest uphill fight I have ever been in. What's taking you to the UK?

I have been dating a young lady in Canada for a while now and we wanted to be in one place. She was heartily opposed to living in the US (especially where I was) and I have always wanted to try living somewhere else. Canada, honestly, isn't all that different from the US. Healthcare is a bit different (obviously), ketchup is considerably worse here, but otherwise it's all basically the same. Everything is more expensive and they pretend to use the metric system.

Sorry. (still getting used to saying that after everything)

Again, best of luck getting there! It's exciting/terrifying/fun moving to another country. By the way, one of my friends who left for the Netherlands a few years ago sent me a link going over the four stages of living abroad: http://www.overseas-exile.com/2013/03/the-four-stages-of-expat-life.html

I've honestly kind of been through this since I've been back and forth to Canada a LOT over the last few years (and lived here off and on a bit), so it's nothing too shocking to me, but it's real. I did go through a bit of this in very abbreviated ways. Good to at least be aware of.

just finished john wick and i feel like shooting guns and ****.

I liked it actually. It is not the best I've seen but it was good. It was nice to see Keanu Reeves in another movie too! People told me that the Equalizer was better than this one though. I haven't seen it yet so I cannot tell.

Congrats on the move!  Best of luck in this new venture.  :)

And you forgot about poutine!  Also, not everything is more expensive.  ;)

I laughed at the bit about the metric system.  :))

awwww, i knew it was because of love!

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

It was a surprisingly realistic action movie. I found it refreshing to see them run out of bullets and the lack of exploding cars made me sit straight up in my seat.
Some really good fight scenes though. Is it a comic book film by any chance? Because it sure felt a bit like it. Some sort of melancholic undertone that the die-hard action movie crowd might not like.

Poutine is love. Poutine is life.

The metric system stuff kills me. If you ask a Canadian how cold it is outside, they'll tell you in Celsius. If you ask them how far it is to something, they'll tell you in minutes (WTF!?). And if you ask them how tall they are, they'll tell you in feet and inches. Weirdos.

Also, thank you for the well wishes.

I lived in China for 13 years. Funny how it made me appreciate my own country so much more. I'm sure it's the same for you. Good luck!
