Rebuilt an RF 87U, ordered shipping supplies, and watched Donnie Darko.

I didn't like Donnie Darko.. i guess mostly due to over-hype..

Funny.. cuz I also didn't like the 87u.. ALSO due to over-hype..

Don't you ever say anything bad about Donnie Darko again! It's my favorite movie!

I too wasn't a huge fan of the 87U, to me it felt mushier than my HHKB. I just needed the board as a 55g donor.

Wow, you must see some pretty awesome vehicles from time to time then! I would love to see some pictures :) I'm cleaning my car this week and I won some 14 inch steels on eBay too, so I will take some pictures of mine soon :)

Oldest I've worked on was a '29 Buick, had to figure out wiring and repair a headlight switch.  Lots of Beetles and vans, though the Beetles have been going away.  I'm building a 40hp 1200cc Beetle engine right now, while a 2L van engine is also apart waiting for another case.  I can do 60-year-old engine rebuilds one day, and figure out electrical gremlins in a brand new car the next day, I'm never bored!

Oh wow! That was going to be my one question, if you used that stock 10rnd mag. I was thinking you were loading some aftermarket high capacity mag. What a pain in the fingers. The 10/22 is one of my favorite guns I own to shoot. It's really fun and quite accurate.

My dad has one of those 25rnd magazines, but it was all plastic and quite worn so I didn't want to chance it.  I brought it with me, but never loaded it.

There were 10 other 10/22's there today according to the range officer, all completely different.  The one I'm using is an old carbine with a little scope, one of the range officers said it was nice to see someone using an old basic one for a change, lol.  I did alright for my first time shooting rifle in easily 10 years (shotgun in that time), once I got used to the scope not being on center I could group ~1.5" diameter at 25yds.

I hear that on the dirty remmington ammo.  I do have to give them credit where it is due.  I got about a thousand rounds from my dad after that ammo went through a flood and was underwater for about 3 weeks or so.  Not one missfire, jam, or anything from a Marlin semi-auto rifle.  All of it was .22LR.

I'm surprised you didn't have issues.  All of my Remington bullets spun in their casings. I Googled it before using any of them, apparently it's common and doesn't affect them (other than the mess).  Yours must not have been loose and allowed water to get in!  The only misfire I had today was a Philippine-made Ruko from probably the 90's, a few other Ruko's were lame but only the one misfire.

The Thunderbolts shot a lot straighter and more consistent than the old stuff I started with, but it was still not great.  I just finished cleaning the crap out of the everywhere, even the trigger assembly was full of grits.  The shooting table was covered in powder from the Remingtons, it was rather ridiculous.

I went to the grocery store for some pastas and I picked up my Novatouch as well.

Here are some pictures of it:

This is the box. You can see my daily driver on top of it. It is Azhdar Poker II w/ blacks, blank black PBT caps and a warlord
novelty.

The keyboard inside:

And the beautiful keyboard:

This the bopomofo version that I bought from Ascaii on DT. I must say that I like a lot these caracters below the latin alphabet. Even though I can't understand any of them it is really nice.

Regarding the Topre switches as it my first time with them, I must say that I'm quite surprised. At first when I opened the box I hastily pressed some keys and I was like "mehhh, is that all what this fuss is about?". However after plugging it in my computer and writing this post I must say that I start to grasp it. The transition between the black and the Topre are hurting my fingers! I was not used to bottom that much anymore. The bottom out is quite hard on the finger, I feel the shock in them. I guess I must learn to apply just the required force and not more. The ABS keys feel different from my wasd set. This one feels less smooth. I feel as it grips my fingers. I also switched from an ISO layout to the ANSI one. Too much beautiful keycaps set for me to pass on.

Negative. While fastening down the CPU cooler, I harmed the bus lines in between the RAM slots and CPU making 2 slots unusable. Still have 16GB available from my other slots.

Ultimately my fault for tightening down too much but why would anyone run bus lines where a screw will be tightened down boggles my mind.  :blank:   :blank:   :blank:

Discovered the main branch of the Cincinnati Library will now house a maker space with laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, and other things.

And I found a place where I have access to a shop for relatively cheap.

It's going to be the best broke feeling ever!

Keyboard related I guess?

Right now? Yes, my ideas are all keyboard related. But you never know. For example, I want to get more into customizing fountain pens and there was an expensive tool I saw at the Philly Pen show which I believe I could 3D print for less. Or print a little tool organizer for when I'm cleaning my game cartridges.

I tried cleaning my car using this new Citrus Power cleaner I have which is meant to power through grime and stuff, and seeing as we;ve had like 3 weeks of salted roads, I thought I would give it a shot.

I have used 750ml of a £10 1l bottle in one wash. **** these roads, I want to move to Australia and take my car with me.

Got a chance to put the reel my dad got me for christmas(its the 9525) on the rod I got for Fathers day a few years ago from the wife.  That is a St. Croix, 6ft single piece fast action rod.  Heading out in the am to chase some trout.  Probably going to limit out by noon.

had my car fixed, got the central heating fixed, finished all the new GT6 seasonal events and took pictures of all my Zonda's... and then updated my forum profile.

in hindsight, I spent way too long on my profile...

I have been doing crepes with my girlfriend yesterday. French cheese (Comté), goat cheese, greek cheese (feta), some italian pastrami and some french ham. Damn that was nice! We ate the rest of the crepes this morning with some mushed bananas and hot melted chocolate. Yummy!

I'm really jealous.  I love crepes.  :D  Yours sound delicious with all those cheeses.   ^-^
