I just a couple hours modding my HHKB and Realforce 23UB into 55g, and then converted my Realforce 87UB into a hybrid where the entire keyboard is 45g except 55g in the spacebar, ESC, enter, and backspace.

Absolutely loving how each one feels! Don't know why I waited this long to do it.

Ooh. Very nice!  :)  Is the HHKB your main driver now?

Hehe, thanks! My HHKB and Filco (ergo clears) have always been my two main drivers. That won't ever change, but even more so the HHKB now because it feels so damn good to type on it.

i don't live in the usa. my location says i live in russia. and sure. if they agree to sponsor my visa, i'll join the visa lottery for 2016 =D

But surely they would know you live in the land of Rus. If you get the job, the work Visa will no doubt be sorted out by them. I would want them to sort it for me too, seeing as I have absolutely no idea how the US immigration policy works.

Ran into a seagull that wasn't fast enough this morning, grill goosed its tail feathers then it sped up a bunch and flew higher.  Jackass seagulls, lol.

Discovered a giant window in a Mini's transmission.  I knew they're fragile as f***, but not so much in the self-ejecting-parts department.

Then I pulled a VW Vanagon engine out and stripped it to the case. Tomorrow I bust open the case and start cleaning/machining.

Just another day at work, nothing too abnormal.

Those case aluminum casings do get fairly brittle.

How is the VW engine looking?

It's awesome being able to do that. But for some reason Spotify won't work over mine. Which is weird and very annoying.

dear gay barber shop, i will miss you.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

My other half wanted to wash my favourite slacks and shorts, so I tried on my slacks I used to wear about 20 years ago and they still fit :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I'm really confused how a book could have been written. Jack **** happened in that movie.

well it was rated R. really think they're going to put period sex in that ****?

i've read reviews with excerpts of it and wow, what a horribly written book. also, apparently it's twilight fanfic and parts taken from a twilight parody.

point is, a lot of dumb ass bored housewives.

I don't think the plot was really centeral to that book.

well if plot wasn't central to the book, then it would just be regular porn.

this was just a horribly written book.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

I went to 50 Shades of Grey with the squad. It was hilarious but still a mistake.

Only hilarious because we were stoned and Hunter was freaking out  :))
Haha, sounds like an awesome time. :))

True, I honestly didn't know what I was in for. I think the book is a lot of hype for nothing.

Terrible day. About midday I started having some really chronic back pains, could barely move and I started going in and out of consciousness from the pain. By the time I got to the hospital I had lost the feeling in my arms and legs and this kicked off the worst anxiety attack I've ever had, doctors had to give me a morphine cap to get me to sleep and breathe normally. Once I woke up they basically brushed the whole thing off as an anxiety attack and said there was no point x-raying my back because it was 'probably muscular'.

****ing thanks doc, if my back is so ****ed it causes me to pass out you'd think you could actually spend a bit of time trying to diagnose it instead of just brushing me off.

Drives me nuts, I'm the last person to go to the doctors for no reason.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Cheers mate. They've given me some pretty mental painkillers so I'm probably going to be pretty useless for the next couple of days but hopefully this should give me some time to camp Clackvent :)

apparently the online retailer I go to for audio stuff is worse for prices than even Amazon Canada, so I'm probably going to end up spending my whole day trying to find a new one that at least SHIPS to canada

Had a conversation with a new acquaintance about my life up to this point and ended up self enlightening the crap out of myself. I honestly think I grew up a bit today, possibly a step closer to considering myself an adult.
