You gotta think that there are other people to interview, then people to confer with. Did they let you know when they would let you know?
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Nah I literally applied yesterday, most the time they don't even get back to you unless you were chosen. Again I'm just being impatient :P

Nice one - I hope the interview goes well :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Gratz Sifo.

Today I picked up a precision tool from a jobsite.  It was sitting in a drawer, still in a box.  The last calibration date was in '08.  It is a Federal 22P 11.  Essentially it is a thickness gauge for very fine detail, such as the thickness of paint.  This one is graduated in .0001" direct read on the dial.  That is not a typo, but 1 ten-thousandth of an inch direct read.

I hope it's not you who's getting the ball and the chain :p
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

So the interview was pretty straight forward... I didn't really get any opportunities to make much of an impression but I just went along with everything. They just gave a tour of the office, explained what the job was, asked like 2 questions about availability and experience, and that's it lol. Place is nice, I sent in my references (ceo and CFO of eSports canada), and they said they'd contact me next week (presumably if I actually got the job). Place seems really chill and fun I really hope I get to work there.

I had a bolt action Marlin 22LR when I was growing up for disposing vermin and I loved that gun. It was one of the most consistently accurate guns I've ever used, it was seriously a nail driver even from stupidly long distances. I regret selling that thing all the time.

I had the chance of firing a crossbow today but passed on it...

I went to Tokyo Game Show 2015 and ran into a strange keyboard from Topre which its staff said can be used as an gaming stick, mouse, midi keyboard, and so on.
Did you get to try it? Did they say anything about extending the keyboard protocol?
It has been on trade shows before. The sensing in Topre keyboards has always been analogue against a threshold, so the difference is only in the electronics/controller. There are a couple of threads about it.

About to solder up some curtain rods out of copper pipe.  Just as soon as I get this sleeping baby transfered to his bed. :)
Made 4 of these curtain rods, all between 10-12 feet long a couple days ago. Finally got them installed last night.

Thanks guys. :). I am pretty comfortable with solder and I know the basics for how to heat the part to make the solder flow into it, but it was the first time soldering with a torch.  I will admit that the last few joints were a lot cleaner than the first few. :)

passed the driving theory test.
