104 ANSI Blank/Unprinted Black Cherry Profile POM keycaps!

1) Unlike Cherry G80-3000/DAS 2 all the keys will fit on your Filco compatible keyboard (modifiers + spacebar)
2) Unlike Noppoo/Keycool these are Cherry (lower) profile, not OEM.
3) No Tsangan Sorry 

LENGTH OF GB:
The factory minimum order is 200 sets.  This GB will remain in effect until this quantity is met.

COST:
$29 / set.

SHIPPING COST:
TBD; However, I will ship worldwide if you know what you're getting your wallet into. Take a look at the other GB's originating from the US to get a feel for how much it will run.

WHEN WILL I SEE MY KEYCAPS?
Depends on when we meet MOQ.  Figure 2-3 months after I submit factory order.

That isn't a real keyboard; it's a placeholder for caps based off the G80-3700.

The caps lock will look fine on a standard keyboard.

what I have is "Das Keyboard DASK3PROMS1-CO Professional Model S Mechanical Keyboard", I bought it on woots about a month ago. I think it's a 3rd edition before Das changed the OEM.

the biggest tissue for me is that they are blank (and no scoops on U / H) but POM is excellnt and I am excited to have more (and to allow my DAS II set to work on another keyboard more easily.)

And no ISO either.  Sorry    To a degree POM seems to be going away in favor of PBT and the molds just aren't there at this factory.

No.  This is Filco only style.

I am very curious as to what company it is that makes these, although I guess you don't want to reveal that? I don't care as much about the thickness as I do about the accuracy of the shape. Whoever it is, they nailed it, or got hold of some of Cherry's tooling.

Will do.  The 'middle man' in China has the first test set.  I'll see if he can post some pictures versus some other keycap types.

I don't know the company and honestly I probably should.  However the person handling this transaction is highly trustworthy.  I do not think he would go with them if he didn't feel good about it.  I'll reach out and see if he can reveal the name of the factory.

The banggood pom is OEM profile; these are Cherry.  I still have to verify but I believe these will be thicker than Keycool.  I believe the reason why side print wasn't possible is because the factory doesn't have the equipment to handle it.

No - that was just to display them and make them look sexier   Unfortunately that capslock shot is causing more concern than it should.


I will try to get the answers that everyone is looking for but please realize that the "middle man" has a family and life outside of Geekhack.  I want to tell everyone who they are but I do not want to clog up their PM box with 30 versions of the same questions.  If anyone feels this GB feels a bit shady then elect a high ranking moderator to PM me and I'll reveal my source and they can stealthily verify everything is legit.  I originally put a request in for this product back in April and it has taken this long to get a test set made.  Like most GB's GH'ers orders are an extremely small percentage of a companies business so I'm not trying to rock any boats.

I will also inquire again about a Tsangan set.  I'm a 110% certain it's not possible but if it is prepare to dig deep in your wallet (which you custom Korean keyboard owners seem to have no problems with )

I have not had the chance to compare a cherry keycap with an oem.  Is it just my imagination, or is the face of the cherry larger in comparison with oem?  It looks like the face is larger and the sides are more vertical, but that could just be my eyes playing tricks on me.  I know the the height of the cherry key is not as tall as an oem (in general, imsto's thick pbts are an exception).  Maybe because the keycap is not as tall, the face looks bigger (or is bigger)?

The difference to OEM is quite large. What makes these special is that they are Cherry profile rather than DCS or some imitation. If you look at the radii, you'll see that it goes from round at the top to a sharp corner at the bottom. This is something that I have so far only seen in Cherry caps and what makes them look so much better when mounted imo.

I cant speak for Cherry/GMK caps but I just compared a SP DCS cap to a QFR OEM cap and the oem cap had a slightly bigger face, only talking a combined 1mm at the most, probably less.
