I found out today that Bill Burr is into One Punch Man.

For some reason this pleases me greatly.

I started watching the Monogatari series yesterday, the first being Bakemonogatari. I'm not into ecchi, but I was attracted by the unique presentation of the anime. I thought it was shallow, but decided to give it a try, and now I'm in love :<

This season only Berserk and ReCreators appeal to me  :(
Tried watching Granblue and gin NO guardian, but I could barely stand first episode. Both were practically the same. Clockwork planet was not much different either _-_

Thankfully I can binge on Heavy Metal L-Gaim, Cobra and maybe Aura Battler Dunbine  ^-^

Some very excellent classic titles.

Have you seen Gunbuster and VOTOMS yet? Those are some of my favorites from that era.

I've been over the moon with My Hero Academia S2 so far. Absolutely adore the manga and the anime adaptation has been killing it.

Started rewatching Last Exile, which I really enjoyed the first time through. The world building and atmosphere always does it for me. I'm only 4 episodes in, so I'm looking forward getting reacquainted with the crew of the Silvana.

Everyone is always hyping Jojo up so I watched the first series, Phantom Blood.

It was ****ing retarded. Basically just ass-pulls the series, and none of the characters are likable or relateable.

I'm ok with the animation,  but i just don't understand what's happening,  why is gutz walking everywhere,  why not just buy some horses and a cart, and ride to where them monsters are..

By the time he gets to saving the girl,  she'd be like,  hey yea.. sorry gutz,  I'm already married with 4 kids with this other devil monster thing..

Where were u buddy ?

Gutz be like,  shiiet  I get coach sickness, so I couldn't buy some horses and a coach to come rescue you..

the girl be like,  well,   i can offer you a job for -the dark side--..

Gutz be like,  welll,  u got a sister or something?

Angel's egg is a masterpiece and cat soup is also fantastic.

Neo Tokyo's running man is one of my favorites.

I am really into older anime from the 70s, 80s, 90s, some early 2000s works.

Agreed we need more mech anime again.

Love this opening shot to Metal Skin Panic, hand drawn and painted cel animation has a certain quality to it that modern digital tech can't touch.

Also watching Outlaw Star again since I was 13. It still holds up, great show.

Summer season is here!

Ballroom e youkoso, The reflection, Youkao apartment and Isekai shokudou seemed interesting enough.

Knights & magic is gonna be great (fingers crossed) and I don't even like mecha.

My college roommate was really into Cowbo Bebop but I could never get into to.

Some of my favorites have been Hellsing, Full Metal Panic, and Those Who Hunt Elves. More recently I enjoyed Attack on Titan but I think there are new episodes that I need to watch!

I used to be very into anime in my youth, with the initial wave of island/manga video VHS into the UK. Generally all 15 or 18 rated cos that's what the people wanted apparently. Fist o' the North Star, Urotsukidoji, etc.  Eva. Paid over the odds for some bubblegum crisis (£20 per episode!) on import. Also obtained Ghibli stuff somehow. But pretty much fell out of it for the past 10 years or so, apart from Ghibli features and a few bits here n there. But recently watched Golden Boy and loved it. Can anyone recommend anything I might like in the Golden Boy vein?

Cheers for the rec, I'll give it a go. Not too keen on the art style tbh.

Thinking about it, I reckon I should probably try to watch stuff I didn't have access to way back (because of no internet), but which always looked really cool. 80's 90's stuff. Like Lupin and Hajime No Ippo.

Ok so I'm 10 eps in now and I am pretty sure Hajime No Ippo is something special. I saw that someone on GH had an Ippo avatar, anyone else a fan? It's strangely motivational.

Also remembered I don't think I ever managed to watch all of FLCL. And reading back up the thread I've been reminded of VOTOMS, which I never got to see before. Looks like I'm getting back into anime I guess...

My list of stuff recently (ish) watched in the past couple of months:

- Ghost in the Shell (original movie, in theater :D)
- Ghost in the Shell (recent movie)

I really enjoyed it, and can't believe I hadn't watched it long ago.

Currently on my plate is Cowboy Bebop. I'll definitely have to check out some of the other series mentioned in this thread.
