Why place the diodes on the back side? Would they interfere with the stickers if placed inside the switches?

Are alu cases really that expensive to make here? Or do we not like keyboards as much as the Koreans? It seems 99% of their custom boards come with alu cases

They ARE that expensive to make 1 offs.

With setup costs, raw materials, operating costs, etc you can easily run up to 200 dollars on a somewhat elaborate case.

I tried doing business with the poeple of manufacture the chassis for EMC where im at and it was not a pretty number.

edit: also one must remember there are far more facilities with the proper equipment in asia than there are in the us or europe.

Ooh, custom SMD controller. Looks like a 64 pin atmel chip, though it's hard to tell.

Also, found a manual: http://grasshopper.ipdisk.co.kr/publist/HDD1/Test%20Folder/PROJECT%20KMAC%20USER%20MANUAL%20V1.1.pdf

I hear the full package comes with a software that can write flash roms so that you can have custom layouts with second layer. Software is not out yet..

I doubt he used the RO. It is more like a Japanese thing, or US Key Tronic thing. Koreans mostly use Krytox, or wakoz oil.
Iomania used to sell the IO-aide(strange name for the RO-59 KT), but it seems they are no longer selling it. Also he lubed the tactile legs of the slider rather than the side grooves of the stem and the switch housing. What a waste of time.

Just regular beige winkeyless ANSI vintage Cherry caps. That's the whole point of these custom boards -- you can use all vintage Cherry caps, no moogle necessary.

Oh duh my bad. I guess the modifiers threw me off. They look gray. I really like the look with 1.5 mods.

They are gray, it's the standard beige/gray color scheme.

I always thought the mods were beige. Or is there two different color schemes?
