That new Spider-Man movie was pretty entertaining, but I feel like as a concept it shouldn't exist.
When a franchise is rebooted so many times you can take all the actors from every reboot and still have them play their original parts believably, maybe lay off the reboots for a while? Like someone mentioned it in a pitch meeting as a joke, then they went and actually made it.
Still fun though.

Finished Reacher, season1. Nice, I liked it, a lot better than previous Reacher movies with wee Tommy...
Didn't know this actor, pretty good one I would say, I liked the atmosphere in episodes, good watch.

Recently watched:

My Fair Lady -- nice!
Battlestar Galactica -- got bored, didn't finish S01
Ascenseur pour l'échafaud -- perhaps the best French film I've watched, 9/10
The Departed -- yuck, didn't finish
Jagten -- watched half of it, then wife said she doesn't want to continue
Beforeigners S02 -- nice, this season actually has a plot (with holes), 7/10
rewatched Silicon Valley -- why did I even like it the first time? 6/10
This Is Us -- barely made it to the end of the pilot
La Dolce Vita -- got bored, didn't finish
Ted Lasso -- very meh, 6/10

in progress:
The Ghosts -- a lot of fun
Stargate Atlantis -- it's nice even though the leader of Atlantis is a copy of my ex
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. House of Gucci,

Some of the framing in the cinematography wasn't as refined. but overall very straightforward / well done.

These days, rare to see drama that isn't a total bore.

Assuming your bored_status multiplier of ~1.25x,   it's an easy 5.5(base)*1.25 = 6.875

You have to be OK with dramas though, (devil wears prada) type movies.

Kingdom of Heaven 2005,

Dis' movie has so many later A lists.

And yet it was confusing as heck upon theatrical release.

Finally watched the director's cut, plot makes sense now.

This has been an interesting thing to see:

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Watched Bitter Moon, by Polanski.
Good movie, I like all movies made by Polanski, he has very specific way of filming, you can feel that during the movie, way he composes views, ways they situate camera, way he tells the story etc

Finally added Spider-Man:NWH, Studio 666, & The Adam Project to my server.  Can't wait to watch them since for once nothing has been spoiled, other than I'm sure the most of The Adam Project was spoiled in the trailers but looks like something at least entertaining to watch. Project 666, I mainly added due to Dave Grohl and want to see how it turns out, even if it's bad as I'm hoping for a it's so bad it's good kind of placement.

Yes, exactly - nicely done, liked the shots, colors, scenery etc but the actual story wasn't fresh.

Nobody.
Never thought of Okenkirk as an action star, but he killed it in this role.
This movie makes you feel 2nd hand vindicated, as if you could do something against bad elements infiltrating your life.
But I know I'd get shot in the head instantly if I tried to stop 10 armed thugs in a home invasion.... probably. Most likely.

I guess it's a power fantasy in a realistic skin. Still worth a watch.

Just watched Moonfall,    Cgi 's top notch,  plot,, ehhh...... if this was 20 years ago. it'd be pretty awesome.

But we've already had independence day, and independence day 2. soooooo...

Overall very watchable,

Funny how Kaspersky antivirus sponsored this movie, and their logo was everywhere.

Watched Smiling Friends recently. Good show, if a little short, especially if you like Newgrounds humor that has grown in the years since you last used Newgrounds. Makes sense, considering the creators.

Other than that, started watching Survivor for the first time (starting from season 1) on the recommendation of some friends. Going through it slowly, as it's mainly a "when I have nothing else to do and don't want to think about what's on the TV" show for me, but it's alright. Apparently it gets worse, which when it comes to reality TV is always funny to see because it usually accompanies a descent into insanity regarding how the competition itself works, but if it becomes unwatchable I'll just drop it because I'm not too attached anyway.

Other than that, most of what I've been watching has been, as is usual for me, a lot of YouTube since that content is easier for me to sit down and watch than a TV show or a movie for some reason, even if I end up watching for longer than the aforementioned shows or movies would run. Some keyboarding stuff, some gaming stuff, the usual.

Such a great show. It's exactly what the World needed right now.

Moonshot - crap, watched only first 10 minutes.
Moonfall - ok, nothing special, but in times when there is no good catastrophic movie, it was ok.
Moon Knight - good, will watch whole thing, shame you need to wait a week for next episode.
