Minimum requirement: Ngreedia 5090.

Peasants can watch the wealthy kids play it on youtube.

I sort of wish they just went with a totally unknown character if they were done with Geralt.
The whole "She's on a journey to become a new generation of Witcher, but she's doing it her own way" is just so incredibly boring and lame. I cannot fathom any way the devs could bring fresh air into that idea and make it interesting.
It would have even been interesting to have you create your own character for the game, but man, I simply cannot dredge up a single **** to give about the character motivation and story.

The whole point of this is to Thrist Trap gamers, because let's face it, the vast majority of gamers are simps.

I mean, it was one of the endings in TW3 (apart from some brief earlier sequences). Though I wasn't actually expecting them to make a sequel based on this.

I mean you're not completely wrong, but I got faith in CDPR. Although honestly I don't get the backlash about Ciri being the main character now. The last game pretty much set the storyline up for this & Ciri being the main character of W4 is what I had expected all along. Personally I'm pretty pumped to continue the story we've been following. I would been a lot less interested in the game had they went in a all new direction TBH.

It's good that they switched to Unreal, they don't have the powerhouse needed to get their own engine to the same lvl as Unreal.

Playing as Ciri doesn't particularly interest me - particularly not compared to Geralt. Sigh.

I'm kinda torn on this move myself. Sure UE does have a lot more tricks up its sleeve than CDPR's in house engine, although UE5 is a bear to run even on the highest end hardware & still a stutter fest in most games. Fingers crossed they got those issues cleaned up some by the time this game launches!

The hardware requirement is deliberately high as a Premium branding element. Instead of proper optimization and an egalitarian approach to design, they rely on pandering to the capitalist excesses which has only ever walked backwards toward reductionist game design, leaving the industry hollow and void of any true advances in the story arts.

100% agree with you here, that's why I've found myself buying & playing way more indie games than AAA/AA ones in the past few years. I hate to say it since I am a huge gamer, but the video game market is due for & honestly in need of a crash soon to bring things back to reality IMHO.

Social media has to be stopped.  It's programing young people such that their only concept of progress is to BUY something.  We've raised multiple generations of boorish idiots who have no world view.  They mentality composes nothing more than capitalist imperialist indoctrination.

These people have no thoughts,  they only internally mutter the words,  like and subscribe.
