not a datacenter but my work computer gets pretty loud a lot of the time. it'd say it's mildly anxiety inducing. when i built my first computer as a teen I didn't care about the amount of noise it made, even though desktop pc fans usually don't sound as irritating as laptop fans, I'm a fan of quiet computing these days.

And I'm pretty sure long term it can cause problems... I don't deal with that sort of noise well since working on aircraft.

It's not like I have a bunch of Noctuas (haha), I use good parts, bang for the buck parts and research, but yeah I hate the noise and put a lot of effort into making sure my systems are quiet.

Once I rebuild my cnc rig I hope to make some water blocks and plan to pump all the heat and noise outside.
