Try mixing your popcorn with nacho cheese, jalapenos and mustard. IT IS AMAZING!

You have to eat it fast! I do not mind it a little soggy. It still has some crunch.

I stopped eating packaged popcorn back when the butter flavoring still contained large amounts of diacetyl. (supposedly they use less)

You can make your own microwave popcorn using a paper bag, and some olive oil.

1. mix 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels with a drop of olive/coconut/veg oil
2. put in paper bag and roll up the top tightly
3. push popcorn button on microwave (or wtvr)
4. add salt/butter, garlic butter/Italian seasoning/parmesean, nutritional yeast, etc...

I prefer soybean oil. It's like McDonalds fryies, they don't tell you the secret ingredient but I think we can assume its just more soybean oil. :D

Should be way cheaper, you just buy bulk popcorn kernels and season them however you want.

Do bulk popcorn kernels expire, or lose popping-ability over time ?

I'm sure they expire at some point but they should have a long shelf life. I don't think they lose popping power over time.

Its easier to justify when you think about the fact that popcorn is all whole grain.
