Just saw, Poisoned - the Dirty Truth About Your Food (2023). Documentary on food contamination.

Forget lettuce, unless you intend to cook it, just don't eat it.  It's the equivalent of pulling the grenade pin on an antibiotic resistant bug. 48 hours you're in a coma, if you survive, a couple months later, dialysis and kidney transplant.

Oh man, just checked Tp4's fridge, both leafy (romaine/spring mix) bags bought from costco produced in the Salinas valley, Calif.

Salinas Calif, and Yuma Arizo, are the 2 worst perpetrators of outbreak.

Lettuce has been a bogeyman for decades.
I always rinse all leafy greens myself, leaf-by-leaf.

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

So does Tp4, unfortunately, you can't always get it off by washing. Cooking's the only safe route. Unless you grew it yourself.
